Have you ever see nanything like this? I think it would be lovely! Especially in a nice bezel, maybe with ta halo of pave??? yummmm.

I don''t know why, but I keep thinking "eyeball."

I tried to crop out the shank part of DCD''s marquise micropave ring, but I''m cr@ppy with Adobe. Maybe someone else can do it, cuz I haven''t seen a pendant look like this. Maybe if the marquise was prong set above the halo I wouldn''t think eyeball so much...???

It sounds like a cool idea...!

I was also just thinking that it would look even cooler if the necklace was strung through the back of the pendant such that it didn''t hang off the pendant from a bail....just an idea.

yeah- that''s exactly what I''m thinknig! It is a bit eyeball, but i love it! I saw a HUGR E/W amethyst yesterday, I''m talking WAAAAY over the ize of my knucle - it rocked, but it was also scary looknig!

How do you keep the stone from turning face down towards the neck ?

mechanics aside (the position of the bail(s) and a shorter chain should take care of it) the ide sounds quite lovely.

I can''t say I have seen such a pendant, but "by the yard" style necklaces with small marquises instead of rounds, yes.

How about a barrel pendant that has 2 or 3 marquise diamonds bezel set, that way if it rolls you see another marquise.

oooooooooooooooooooooh, i love it! Good find!!!!

Hey - good point about the necklace rolling - that would be annoying. I wonder how you could make it stay.

If they can attach the chain from one side instead of the tips, that would definitely work. Adding a bit more metal weight on the opposite side of the pendant should help as well. And something like Tony posted would stay put, of course.

I found this "double pea-pod" necklace and loved the shape of the "pod" bezels. Sure someone could fit something like that around your marquise

oooh, that''s NICE! Ya know, i just thought of something funny - a 3 stone necklace - top is
e/w marquis, next one down is
a heart, and the last one is
a half moon...

looks like EYE HEART U....

i just thought of something funny -

Half moons don't quite look as "U" more like a skinny "D" ... Anyway, below I tried to keep the marquise proportional to the size of a certain blue spinel heart

Neither is as simple as it looks - at least in platinum.
