I was offered:

GIA 3465998761 $4350 1.03 ROUND g si1
GIA 7443673250 $4700 SAME AS ABOVE

How are these prices? Looking to spend $4500 max and get most for my money but given the simple Tiffany setting, want diamond to pop.

Thanks in advance!

Hello, nyno2010!
I don't think they are out of the realm, but you may be able to do a little better depending on where you shop. You can see if your preferred jeweler(s) have these available:

Not sure if it's the camera settings, but this one is either really good or a bit cloudy.

Thanks, the second one seems much better and cheaper than what I was offered. What am i missing besides for it being slightly smaller?

It's just under 1ct which usually means a huge price saving, even though most of the time most folks won't be able to see a physical size difference if the difference in diameter if under 0.20-0.25mm.
Seller overhead and targeted profit margin plays a role in pricing, as well.

Found a dual graded (AGS and GIA) option that I thought you might want to check out...AGS Triple Zero/Ideal is about the strictest criteria of all grading labs.

I would really appreciate if someone could give me an opinion on the below stone or if they think there is something comparable in size and quality that I am not thinking about.

The one you've linked is not bad. I would want to see an ASET image to ensure there's no light leakage.

Take a look at this one as well.

What do you consider excellent proportions to be?

What do you consider excellent proportions to be?

I recommend looking at stones with close to these parameters.

depth 60-62.4%
table 54-58%
crown angle 34-35 degrees (can go up to 35.5 if paired with 40.6 pavilion)
pavilion angle 40.6-40.9 degrees

Generally, a shallower crown angle will pair better with a steeper pavilion angle and vice versa.

Thee one I quoted has all of above except it has a 36 crown angle (and 40.6 pavilion angle). I guess that is an issue? Seems like one I quoted also has fluorescence.

The proportions can work when executed well—that's why I mentioned wanting to see an ASET image to verify light performance. That stone is also trading at a discount due to the strong fluorescence.

What do you think of this? Should fit the numbers you posted (thanks so much!)

That's a nice stone! Great proportions.

Thanks! No worries about the inclusion? Is it visible to the naked eye?

I found the below also after hours of searching but realized the proportions dont conform to your criterea, so probably a no go over the above right?

This one is fabulous! No worries about the inclusions in a GIA VS1.

The later ones you posted are very poorly cut.

You just got the best diamond in the size and price range because it is a genuine AGS 000!

Here are all of the advanced images... congratulations, you just bought a true super ideal cut diamond!
