Hi all,

I am thinking of getting a custom eternity ring made to match my upgraded e-ring pictured below. I know that I saw a very similar eternity ring while surfing on DT (I know, I know). Since they made a recent change to force surfers to register before allowing them to see photo attachments, I can no longer browse for it. I now have dug in my heels on principle, and refuse to register...I mean, really! I would think that with everyone fleeing them willy nilly, that they would at least want some surfer exposure for the vendors. But I digress.

If anyone has seen the style I am looking for, I would be eternally grateful if you could attach the photo and/or the jeweler who did the custom design. I want to have the stones be quite small, about 5 to 7 points each, all round cut and each set in the ''U'' scalloped style (rounded bar, no prongs). TIF

Hi, If you are considering having one custom made, Some amazing things can be done with CAD/CAM technology allowing things that would otherwise be very expensive or difficult do be done. Check out a member on here that goes by Griffin, he usualy does jewelry lines for stores, but occasionaly he will do a custom jobs for people, I dont know how busy he is right now but it never hurts to ask, I had his company redesign some of my design concepts and have been very pleased with the results.

Thanks, David. If this search doesn't pan out, I may just do that. I was hoping to find this original designer first, because it is typically less expensive when no new design work is required.

Sometimes original designers works can cost less than custom work, and in most cases that is ture for pieces in the $100 to $300 range. It has been rather staggering how much less custom can cost when you cut out a few middle men...just like diamonds online can be purchased for less, anything that is being sold that is pre made...is going to have a premium and mark up, the labor to make a ring is going to be expanded with the mark up. Anything being made...does not and only has the cost of design and materials and fabrication/labor with out the dealer mark up so the same ring costs the same too you as it would a store...aka wholesale. The end result, is the ring you want, at less than the price from other dealers. And often times made better as it is a one of a kind and not a production run ring.

Whew! I finally found the ring I was looking for, just not the source. If anyone can find out for me from Jasmin (poster on DT), what manufacturer this setting is from, I would be eternally grateful! She mentioned in her original post that her jeweler ordered the setting, so hopefully it will not be outrageously priced. Thanks in advance! Jasmin, if you read this, hope it's okay that I posted a picture of your lovely ring

By the way, edited to add: I know this one is shared prong, but it is the closest thing I could find for the look I wanted.
