Hi everyone! I'm hoping to get some help with a Round Cut with ideal proportions preferably GCAL if possible thank you so much!!
DEFG
1.60 - 2.30ct
Vs1 or better
Budget 400 to 500
Looking for a great sparkle!
Thank you very much!

I think you may struggle to get a really good cut GCAL (not even 8x) of that size/colour/clarity for your budget

Have you searched some of the sites (like adiamor or similar) and filtered for your needs?

The lowest price I see at first glance is a 1.6, G, VS1 for $730 (I’ve not looked to see if cheaper elsewhere) but the proportions are not great at all!

Hi thank you so much! Yes I've searched those sites i did come up with something i will have to link the gcal report i just have to figure out how

Hi, cashton13 - you can get clean HPHT with the Hearts and Arrows designation on the IGI report around 1.6-1.8 carats D-F VS-VVS between $525-600...are you able to expand the budget cap just a smidge?

Hi DejaWiz!
Thanks for your help! Yes I could! Can you look at a gcal report of one I found and let me know your thoughts?
LG340866000 i will also try to post a screen shot of the dimensions

I'm not a fan of this one, if I were to be a bit more discerning...the pavilion facets likely have some unevenness which is why they're averaging with a slightly deeper 43.5% pavilion depth instead of 43%.

In order to maximize your chances of finding an extremely well cut and proportioned diamond, try to limit to the following:

PA: 40.6-40.8° (43% depth)
CA: 35-35°
TW: 53-56% (up to 58 OK if not enough to pick from with the smaller table width range)
Star: 45-50%
Lowers: 75-80%

Couldn't find any higher quality pictures or a 360 video for that GCAL graded diamond, but it does appear to have evidence of some moderate to bad CVD graining along with some light leakages in the pavilion.

cashton13 I have a few options ready for you, if you're around to take a look at them before the lurkers snipe them.

I will copy them can you delete once I copy?

Hey can you check something out for me?

Ok please delete after viewing!

Thank you!!

How much do the hearts and arrows matter? Just personal preference?

You can edit your post and delete now.

Either the photography environment is horrible or the post processing is, because the diamond looks like it has some added contrast and paddling.
The diamond is also not perfectly aligned straight in front of the camera.

It may be just fine...are you in a position to be able to send it back and look for another diamond if this one has apparent issues?

Got it! Thank you!!

Thank you, I had no ideas about this! I trust your judgment. 2 out of the 3 on the list I keep going back to so I will go with one of those!
Thank you again for your help on both stones...the round and the cushion the other day !
I'm growing a nova with jannpaul right now so I'll be back in a few months for your expert eyes ✨
Thank you!

You're very welcome and we'll definitely be looking forward to pictures and videos of the cushion, the round, and your JP Nova!
