I ran both through the HCA tool — the 0.98 carat stone got a score of 0.9 (excellent on everything) and the 0.69 one got a 1.4 (excellent on fire and spread and very good on light return and scintillation).

Thank you very much in advance!

These stones are both 60/60 style, so they will favor white light over colored light return. If you want a more balanced performance, look for stones with tables that are 54-58%.

Is there a reason for the VVS2 clarity? A VS1 and most VS2 in this size will be equally eye-clean, and opening your search to VS1/VS2 will give you a lot more options.

That is a significant size difference... What's the cost differential here?
Both are fine by the numbers. Do you have any pictures?
I'd err away from a non-faceted girdle on a modern round brilliant, personally. All else being equal.
Ditto Kim N, would you have more options if you reduce your clarity requirement?

Are these directly from Tiffany or diamonds that are being sold by a 3rd party claiming they are from Tiffany?
Who are the grading reports from and the date on them?

Thanks a lot for the replies. I’ve been looking at VVS2 options only at first, but after reading a bit around here, I think I might as well open up for VS1. The diamonds are directly from Tiffany. I started looking at those around 0.7 carat, but at the back of my mind I’ve really wanted something closer to a carat. This 0.98 one costs almost double the 0.69 and I’m wondering whether you’d consider it at all, given that it’s close to a 60-60. I don’t have pictures, unfortunately.

I had heard that Tiffany was all over the place these days with diamond combinations. Guess they are now.
There for a long time they were fairly consistent slightly steep deeps.
These stones are more 1970s Tiffany than I would expect in 2022.
Not that they are bad, they just don't match modern thinking about diamond cut.
Weird.

What proportions would you personally look for?
