Looking to upgrade to cushion

Hi,

I have ACA round cut 1carat set in simple setting that I want to upgrade to a cushion cut. I was a long time lover of round cuts and recently my heart stays with cushion cut. I bought my stone from whiteflash and the experience was absolutely exceptional. My stone is also upgradable and of course I would like to take advantage of that. My concern is that they do not carry any cushion cuts in house or on the website. Should I go with white flash and let them do the search or should I go with other ones like GOG since they have larger inventory of cushion cuts? What would you do?

I would stay to stick with Whiteflash if you decide to go with a round option. They do have some of the best rounds around (as I'm sure you know!).

If I were to purchase a cushion, I would purchase from GOG. Between modern cushions, antique cushions, and August Vintage Cushions, I know that they would be able to find me something that meets my needs exactly, and they would be able to make a video to compare the different options, so I would be able to use my eyes to decide. They would also be able to take your stone in for consignment or trade, towards this new cushion.

That is just my $.02, though!

Well, if it were me, I would need to use my current ACA as a trade-in so I would probably have to get Whiteflash to
track me down some nice cushions. You might want to look around like at JA and send WF some links of stones that
you like and that fit in your budget. That way WF knows what kind of stones to bring in. Who knows, they might
even be able to get those stones but I'm not sure.

Depending on when you bought your ACA it may be worth more now then when you bought it. You might talk to GOG
and ask them if they would be willing to buy it as a trade-in for a new cushion.

I did not think about trading in the current diamond. I thought once the stone is set in the setting it looses its value and it would be hard to get the original price.
