What happens when Erica's kitties run up $1,400 in emergency vet bills in two weeks? It drains her "I need to fly around the globe to spend a week drinking wine with my PS soulmate" fund. And to refill that, well, I need to sell a few things.

Loose Stones:
1. Pink Spinel, 1.03ct, 6.5mm, precision cut. Purchased from Jeff Davies. $65

1. Richard Homer Concave Cut Purple Spinel in a setting with tapered baguette sides! $500
Spinel is a concave cut round, 6.5mm, 1.3ct. Comes with all the Richard Homer paperwork. Setting is a vintage, classic style with tapered baguette sides. 14k, size 6.5

2. Hot Pink Mahenge spinel in a unique and classic setting. $400
Spinel is a 5.5mm square cushion, .71ct, purchased from a local gem/mineral dealer, John Garsow. Stone has a great glow under UV light, too! The setting was purchased at a local gem show. It has a straight baguette and four round brilliant diamonds on each side. Diamonds are approximately G/H in color, approx .2ctw, 14k, size 6.5.

3. Tanzanite Pendant in Halo Setting, $325
14k white gold. I need to poke around and find the specs but wanted to get it thrown out there. This was a ForteKitty find.

Unfortunately, kitty is in kidney failure. We've been (successfully!) fighting it a few years but her bloodwork over the past few months shows that she's declining pretty rapidly.

I'm open to taking offers on things! I really want to get these vet bills paid down as quickly as possible.

Darn! That Spinel sold quickly! I am sorry to hear about your kitty. I lost my beloved cat to CRF about a year and a half ago. It is a tough and heartbreaking illness. I never even wanted to add up the thousands of dollars I spent for veterinary care. If you haven't already, please check out http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/Feline-CRF-Support/ This is a wonderful group of caring people who offered me not only excellent advice but emotional support. I am still in contact with several board members to this day.

Thanks! I joined that group about eight months ago when she started requiring daily meds and fluids. Thankfully I have an amazing vet who is supportive and who shares my same views on quality of life for her. We are getting another full blood draw tomorrow so I'm sure ill be posting her results over there.

Thanks. It's tough but I know we've done right by her. She was first diagnosed with the kidney stones more than three years ago, and at that point they gave her a year or two. She's far exceeded that and, most importantly, she still seems to feel pretty good! I'm glad I get to work from home a few days a week and can spend lots of time with her.
