hey y''all....reading up on your site; this place seems like you folks really know what you''re talking about, so i figured i''d give it a go.

Here''s what i''m looking for:

$2600-$3100
Princess Shape - non-negotiable. She knows what she wants...but she''s beautiful, so hey..

Carat: 1.05+ (basically I want the rock to look as massive as possible, without sacrificing
NOTICEABLE value; I don''t care about what she might find with a loop or a color guide).

Clarity: mostly what i was looking at was VS1/2, but if it''s not noticeable I don''t care.

Color: I was looking at a floor of J, but I have no idea if that will look awful or fine.

Cut:Gotta have sparkle. I always did my searches stopping at anything less then very good cut.

I notice alot of your recomendations show fluorescence. Isn''t fluorescence really bad for a stone? I wasn''t sure.

Thank you in advance for all of your replies!

I don''t know too much about princesses but I will say you should not be afraid of flourescence. Especially if you go down as low as a J, blue flourescence can make the diamond look whiter. There can (very rarely) be issues with diamonds that have very strong flourescence but really, many of us here actually prefer the look. It can give your diamond a beautiful light violet glow in direct sunlight or under black light.

I don''t know princesses, so I just did a brief check to see if it can be done for the price (I don''t know if this is a beautiful perfect princess diamond I had an ES so I tend to think they are terrific).

which it can (medium flour can make the diamond look whiter if it''s blue flour, I had an H with flour, and it was very white).

I think ideally, if it were me, I''d try to find an I diamond VS2, with flour. If you find one you are intrested in there are a lot of people on this site that are amazing with princess stats.

Good luck on your search.

I''m not sure how Princesses show inclusions, but if it''s possible, I''d try to go down to SI1 in clarity, and go up in color. I do know they show more than rounds. I personally wouldn''t want lower than H.

And no, fluor isn''t bad until it get to strong, and then only sometimes.

I've seen I in person and am happy with the ones that have fluor. They look plenty white to me. BUT some people are more sensitive to color. I do think that some I colored stones look a little yellow. I'm not sure if it's the cut or the lack of fluor or a combination of both. All the ones I viewed were GIA.

GO look at some stones and see what you are sensitive to color or clarity and get what you like.
