Sooooooo the day befor the wedding I was gathering my stuff together and coudln''t find my passport. After seraching for 36 straight hours we decided taht I had thrown it away somehow. We had planned to go to Cancun for our honeymoon but without a passport I would be unable to get into the country by plane. We searched everywhere and called every hotline to see about getting a passport the following day and moving back our trip but they said they couldn''t gaurantee us one until the 25th. We decided to go ahead and cancel the trip and see how much we could get back. We didn''t expect to get much back but the airlines said we would have a credit on our account which would keep EVERY penny we had spent but we had to book another trip within a year and then it would be $100 per ticket for the change plus any difference in the airfare. Soooo that was a HUGE blessing.
With the resort we figured they''d tell us too bad you''re screwed and keep all of our money. We begged our travel agent to pull some strings and he called us bakc on the way to our reception and stated that the resort was only going to bill us $300 per person for canceling and we owuld get everything else back. He also offered to give us our next trip at cost. So he would be making no money off of us on the next one. With the credit to our account and the trip at cost we should be getting a good deal for our 1 year anniversary
haha.
We were driving from the reception to the hotel in Indianapolis and my blazer began to smoke. It didn''t say it was hot or anything but it was smoking. I pulledo ver and because I''m an idiot when it comes to cars I had no idea. My g-pa and uncle met me at a gas station and told me that we would have to take their car so they could look at my SUV. It ended up being something very simple and they had it fixed the next morning, but we took their car back to my wife''s parents house the next morning so we could begin our honeymoon. We took her parents car and began to drive down to our new honeymoon location of.......CLEARWATER, Florida. That is where we are right now. It took us 17 hours of driving and we stopped in Macon, GA but it was such a fun drive. I am laying on the bed in our hotel right now while we prepare to get ready for the night and what not.
It was one of the most stressful moments in my life after realizing that I could have destroyed our honeymoon and wedding. I threw up twice because I was so upset thinking that I had ruined everything for my wife. Things turned out amazing for the wedding and God really provided an awesome location for us. We''ve spent the past couple of days on the beach and on the pier. We got a VERY cute picture made out of wire that the lady is going to put a palm tree and then our names and Clearwater, Florida and May 2007 and we''re going to hang it in our bathroom when it comes in the mail. Despite everything that went on that weekend our wedding was amazing and the reception was fantastic. I''ll attach some pics of the big day and maybe one of our honeymoon.....thanks for all the support guys. Just want to tell you that no matter what happens on any of your guy''s big day''s there is NO way it can top the stress level I had haha.
