About 20 years ago, before I met my husband, I lived next door to a lovely older couple who showed me great kindness. I moved away from where they lived, and we kept in touch. I visited them once with my husband and kids, and the woman and I stayed in contact through the loss of her husband and her eventual move into a retirement community. Well, the lovely lady is now 90 years old, and I am helping her to liquidate her stash of jewelry. I’m not taking a commission or anything, just doing this as a favor to this woman I care about, to assist her with her retirement. I have these things listed in two group listings on Loupe Troop and will get around to taking more pictures and listing things individually over time. Good for you for doing this for your friend.

I know that when my friend was liquidating some gold jewelry---she discovered that the gold charms, particularly those that are articulated/move, have quite a bit of value. She also found that some of her Mom's were especially valuable as they were Tiffany or Cartier. There is a whole sub-culture of vintage charm collectors.

I am touched by the generosity people have shown to my friend (through me), and I'll be listing what remains individually in the coming week. I have been occupied with Halloween (I have 4 kids), and I am hoping for a light and warmish day in the next few days to take some proper photos. I'll update when the more detailed listings are up.
 
The bottom two items in the post above this one (and a couple of other things) are still available (and listed on Loupe Troop), but the majority has been sold, and my old friend is thrilled. She has a sinus infection and, at 90, that's incredibly uncomfortable and debilitating. She's been feeling terrible for a couple of weeks. I'm sending her healing wishes (and a bunch of money).

Hi, azstonie. I sold the bracelet to a refinery just yesterday, because I wanted to get money to my old friend. She’s 90, and I didn’t want it to drag out too long.
