It’s about time, isn’t it? Some of you might remember that my fiancé proposed to me in Paris (well Versaille technically) at the end of Feb. with a temporary setting. Well, six weeks later and my e-ring is finally complete.
Some specs: the stone is a 1.29 G VS1 RB, GIA ex/ex/ex hca 1.6 hearts/arrows, the setting is a platinum Tacori and has .78ct gvs stones for a 2.07ctw ring. I''m absolutely in love with it, everything from the delicate cushion halo to the double prongs to the trapezoid sidestones to the super-thin pave shank to the amazingly detailed and hand-crafted basket to the heavy and unmistakable feeling of platinum all the way to the little surprise stone at the bottom of the ring. If you guys remember, I was kinda disappointed with the stone when he first proposed (I told him I wanted bigger for lower clarity/color beforehand but he didn''t listen...boys...) but I''m so much happier with it now that it''s in it''s permanent home and I see just how beautiful this stone really is and I hate to say it but I think he made the right decision in the end. What a difference a setting makes! Phew...ok, enough with my ramblings, here are some pics!
