Loupe Troop SPAM ....ugh

I've noticed lately that Loupe Troop has filled up with commercial SPAM again. Is there a way to report?
If the powers that be need a mod to help delete commercial posts, I volunteer. I'm a computer sys admin in "real life".

I agree. I spent some time yesterday reading the terms and conditions trying to figure out of the black diamond posts are something I could report. The daily posts bump everything else down and off to other pages

I emailed that person and told them it was not a commercial site and they were against TOS. Obviously, that was ineffective. LOL

I wonder...what if we paid $1 to post an item. It might keep the spam off. It would also reward the owners for having LT - whoever they are.

I am thinking back and I could be getting this wrong, but I think they tried that on the Bistro in which it cost 99 cents to list an item but discontinued that for whatever reason. I have observed that the spammers usually don't last too long on LT. I can't imagine they get any sales.

Absolutely. It is so annoying and does not help pre-loved sellers when their items gets buried under the ton of spam. I really wish whoever operates that site would remove those spammers.

I had the same thought about charging a nominal fee - great minds, lolol. I wouldn't care if it was just an occasional item but it's too much. I will start reporting to see if it helps.

How does one define SPAM?

To me, there is a fine line between banning spam vs all trade listings. The later of which has been debated here before.

Unlike some, I don't mind legitimate posts from the trade when they are well-priced with all the specs, etc one expects from a vendor. I for one have benefitted from a couple of CVB specials deals on LT. Like most, I hate vendors who jump on and post commercial pieces with little information and/or at retail prices.

I do wish that sellers on LT had to register as private individual or trade as they do here...and that you could filter out trade listings if you so desired.

What I don't like is when someone floods the front page with their listings (whether it be an individual or the trade). It's not fair to others. But I haven't seen this lately. I do recall reading that one vendor was told he had to limit his posts - but not sure if there's an official limit though.

Last night's (my time) spam here on PS was some of the worst
it makes my blood boil
I too would go broke !

I agree and am so glad others have said something! I HATE sifting through all the spammy crap on LT trying to find actual pre-loved deals from regular people. Grrrrrrrrrrr
