Hi everybody,

my brother has a very low budget for his ring. I can get a diamond and after the diamond I still have 500USD left for the ring setting and having the diamond set in that ring.
Which jeweller would set the diamond into a stuller setting for me? I found a great stuller setting for 400usd on whiteflash. As I’m not buying the diamond from whiteflash who do I contact to set my diamond?

Thank you so much for your help!

Or I would find a local jeweler who can order Stuller. I asked Klass once about a Sholdt setting and he definitely couldn’t get that brand.
I loved the Stuller I once had. Very nice quality and heft. Just need an adept setter to make it refined. Good luck.

what’s his total budget?

See if any Stuller jewelers are nearby:

1000 USD. So I picked a nice lab diamond. That will be 500 USD. And for the setting it would be another 500USD.

We are located in Europe, so none of them are nearby :(.

I probably habe to find a smaller diamond?

Just a heads up...I dont believe WF will sell a setting without a stone...you can ask though. Good news is that there are many
jewelers that can provide a setting for you.

I asked DK about setting a stone in a stuller setting (thinking that he could order it for me) and he said that I would need to
order it and provide the setting to him. In the end I chose to go a different direction so I didnt end up doing this.

Have you looked on ebay. I believe there are stuller settings on ebay. DK could set it (at a fee).

Does the place you are getting the stone from not have an inexpensive setting? You might want to look at places for an inexpensive
setting first then get the stone from that place (would be cheaper than having to pay for another jeweler to set the stone).
People on the lab forum would be happy to help if you show them the kind of setting you're looking for and the budget.

If hes open to second hand he might have some luck. This ring was recently listed for $990 (about? It ivyt have been 999) if it might be her style and size, you he could message the seller and see if they’d take an offer. Otherwise if you know her size and stile and I can see what else is out there. He might have better luck getting a completed ring.

If your budget is firm and you are using multiple suppliers, be sure to include shipping in your calculations. It can add up. In addition to a setting fee, you may need to get it sized too. Most people do.

Dk will not save us here I don’t think. With shipping, setting cost, I think that’ll eat up more than half the budget

Anything on their EU site?

Some other options that may be more to her taste

Maybe

Thank you for all your great suggestions.

I just noticed my brother wants the Valoria Setting - which is a whiteflash brand, not a stuller setting. So I’m back to searching.

Can anybody recommene a jeweller, who finishes stuller settings nicely? I’ll be happy to do more business with them for myself (so its not only the low cost project).

If he ships to your country, I think the best bet would be to work with Alex park. I have seen him relatively recently produce high quality solitaire settings for under 500. Also he has killer prices in lab stones.

Yes, I like Niel’s suggestion. I was coming to encourage you to order your diamond from a company that provides settings. That is likely to be the most economical option. Less shipping fees, fewer or included setting fees, only one set of import taxes.

100% agreed - this is his lab jewelry page for some ideas on their pricing and some of his work. There's several examples of solitaires that seem like they'd quite nicely fit the bill and budget given the right expectations

I really wanted the perfect cut for the diamond. I find Alex Parks offers very enticing but I liek to have more control so I picked a 8x Gcal.
Also I’m happy to say Ivy and Rose will be able to set the stone in on of their settings for right on budget!

Thank you for all weighing in!

Can't go wrong with an 8x!! It might sound blasphemous, but I prefer the light response of my 8x to my branded super-ideal.
Congrats to your brother and his fiancée. You're wonderful for helping them
