Low crown height but good crown angle?

Hey PS!

Was offered this diamond - forgotten to take the ASET and Idealscope pictures but they were quite ideal.

Here's a picture of the cert. I love most of the specs, but my concern is that:
- Table 58% (considered high?)
- Crown Angle (34.5)
- Crown height 14%

Is the crown height too low? I believe AGS 0 is 15% and above. As for the table, if remember correctly, AGS 0 is <57.5%. What's the concern of having a crown height of below 15% and table size of > 57.5? Is it related to the fire of the diamond?

Thank you!IMG_20221210_205320_168.jpg

58% table is the top of the range for super ideal diamonds. Its not an issue. The combo is a good combo. Would like to see a picture
of the stone and an Aset/Idealscope image(s) if they have them.

34.5/40.8 is a sweet spot. Really need to see images of all the stones you posted. You can put them on hold and provide links.

Edit
You are in the Super Ideal price range.

Ahh yea those james allen are possibly near their "true hearts" range. Sadly im based in singapore so we have additional tax. Diamonds are pricier than in the US :/

Those images unfortunately aren't helping. Looks like jewelry store lighting and the camera is overcompensating. It
looks like a dark stone and its probably not in real life.

Sorry about that! I am getting the aset and idealscope images and would update here once I do, thank you so much

Have you had serious conversations with JannPaul based out of Singapore?

Yup! Have been in contact with them over the last few weeks. Their diamonds are definitely top grade but the prices are higher :/

E.g. 4.8k USD for a super ideal cut / 5.5k USD for their patented decagon cut after taxes

Have you thought about incrementally upgrading over time as funds allow?
They also have the best quality LGD rough that their White Series are cut and polished from...not sure if they allow upgrading from LGD to EGD later on, though.

Yea, their LGD has the best cut for sure but I am set on a natural for now ><

Tbh I am hoping to search for an ideal cut diamond among other vendors in Singapore myself since there's a price difference of about 700 USD between JP SIC and others.

Also, instead of paying that much for a SIC from JP, I feel that I might be better off shipping a loose stone from whiteflash

That's my thought process!

Can never go wrong with an ACA SIC from WF!

Tried to get the ASET of the diamond but it's not perfect. Was very difficult to get a picture through the ASET scope.

Would you all purchase Diamond A or B?

Diamond A

Ignore the white part in the ASET image on the left side - the angle is off. White space wasn't there when viewed through the scope.

Diamond B

Which one is the better diamond? I would think diamond A is closer to a SIC while B has a larger carat size.

Both are priced similarly

I know the aset is pretty bad :( rough opinion would do!

Which one has the performance personality that you like best?

Honestly.. my naked eyes cant tell much of a difference haha these 2 diamonds are not from the same store, so no side by side comparison

Had a store provided me a bad diamond and i can't tell the difference with my eyes either
