The Question:
This Jeweler we are dealing with tells me that the ring (diamond eternity band)we thought we were getting is different from the one he quoted us a price for. The difference being that the one we wanted has to be sent out to be "machine set"(?)at a cost of $130 or so.
Am I getting scammed??
The Back Story:
My fiancé found an engagement ring that she loved from a Jeweler on Jewelers'' row in Chicago. However, we were very displeased with the service (price switching, high pressure etc) and the quality of the mounting (subsequently re-set as per recommendation from a jeweler we trust). We decided buy the matching wedding band somewhere else but were unable to find it anywhere. We reluctantly went back to the same guy and have received equally bad if not worse service again.
Question #2:
Does anyone know of a jeweler in the Nashville or Chicago area that carries the rings made by Legend (the name of the inscription inside the band)?
Thanks
