I've been married for 9 months and just had a baby. While pregnant I developed CT brought on by the pregnancy. . If anyone else has experienced this how long did it take before it went away? I know every case is different but wanted to ask. My swelling has gone down significantly which is great but my rings still don't fit. . Hoping maybe more swelling needs to go away or if my fingers go bigger. :-/

I miss being able to wear them and haven't been able to for a few months now. I'm curious if they'll ever fit again or if Ill have to get them sized bigger.

Diamonds, I got really vicious carpal tunnel during pregnancy. It was bad bad bad in both my wrists, worse in my right. I'd say about 8 wks post partum it was finally better. Now it's totally gone, good thing too, because those babies pork up really fast :)

Oh good to hear! I'm glad it went away for you...I guess I need to be patient because next week she will be a month old. Did your rings fit or did you have to get them sized up? I'm scared that the CT won't go away and it won't be the end of the world if I have to get them sized up but...

I think I've heard of some where their fingers went up in size that had CT.

I developed it while I was pregnant. Work at a desk job. Typing all day. It was terrible. I remember though by the time my maternity leave was over so was my CT. so, no longer than 6wks?

oooo the awful swelling and numbness! I had that while prgnant too... could not open jars for the life of me! I had two babies and missed my rings SOOOOOOOOO much! I ended up sizing my ering a few times... but not my wedding band since it is a princess channel set and no one around town dares to touch it! My wedding ring is a tad tight now... but still wearable. i have since upgraded my ering so size isn't a concern anymore.

It can take awhile before your fingers de-swell... I would not necessarily recommend resizing your rings just yet... you might also have a second baby and you might have to do it all over again! I have stayed slightly larger afterboth pregnancies (i was a ring size 3.5 and went up to 4-4.25 after both kids). I honestly would not know whato recommend since we like to wer our bling all the time. I myself did not wantto wait the one year post baby so ended up spending a fortune on the resizing!

I had CT as well....I would say it took quite a bit longer for me to resolve, probably around the the 12 wk mark. I was still significantly swollen at my 6 wk checkup- I remember my dr commenting on how I still had a lot of swelling, especially in my ankles!
As far as my rings, they are still tight on me!! I do have more weight to lose though, but I am afraid I will never be a size 6 again! :errrr:

Add me to the list.

Actually, I'm just going to quote what Dani said, because it's exactly the same for me. Oh, size 6...
