I was originally going to use these as sidestones in a three-stone ring, but I went the solitaire route instead. These stones have not been set.
Anyone who knows me knows that I'm somewhat... fanatical... about proportions. I was set on this diameter and I demanded an excellent match in the ways that were important to me - my priorities were to match table size, high crown, shorter lower halves, and no fluor to each other and to my centerstone. I bought and returned several stones over a four-month period to mate this pair: boutique precision-cut melee simply aren't manufactured with high crowns like this, and in general inventory stones of this size don't usually have GIA reports, the few that do are usually 60/60 types, and requiring EX cut/pol/sym and no fluor further narrows the field into finger-twiddling territory
The stones are indistinguishable by naked eye in terms of real-world look and performance. Note that LGF on the reports are listed at 75 and 80 - the non-rounded match is, as photos indicate, far better than numbers would suggest. The 36/41 combo one of the two sports is unorthodox on paper - again, I believe this stone is victim to some unflattering rounding, as pictures depict a complementary combination.

This duo is waiting for someone who's specifically looking for a well-cut well-matched pair of lower-coloured melee with uncommon proportions in a hard-to-find size.
