Maytal vs VC for earrings

I recently tried on Tiffany’s Victoria studs in the large size (1.62 tcw) and fell a bit in love. Of course the price tag, ouch…I remembered seeing a post not too long ago that Maytal Hannah made something similar, so I reached out for a quote. She was lovely, responsive and her quote seemed quite fair. I decided to also reach out to Victor Canera because he did my engagement ring, wedding band and recent anniversary 5 stone ring. In my opinion, everything he has done has been perfection and perfectly proportioned. So why not just go with Victor? His quote was A LOT higher. Like almost double.

I guess I am hoping for guidance on any difference in quality there may be, and would it justify the difference? Has anyone worked with both? I’m inclined to go with Maytal, but worried about being disappointed as I feel I know what to expect with Victor.

I had a bracelet made not long ago with another well known but cheaper vendor, and the whole experience was disappointing. So much back and forth to get it right, and it’s still not perfect I’ve just learned to live with it…

Anyway, would love to hear any thoughts!

I also recall that thread with the Victoria-style earrings by Maytal; those came out beautifully, and I don't think you need to worry at all about being disappointed!

I definitely would not let the difference in price cause you to hesitate. Maytal recently reset my stud earrings, and her price was cheaper than what Brian Gavin quoted me and basically the same as what David Klass quoted. She is just really reasonable on prices, and that is not a negative reflection in terms of quality. Maytal's work is exquisite, and she is 100% committed to making her customers happy and delivering exactly what they want.

For sure, Victor would also do an impeccable job, and I love looking at his Instagram page But I don't see any reason to spend close to double when you have the opportunity to get exactly what you want from Maytal.

She just did the medium size ones for me, got them last week. They are perfect and the diamonds sparkle amazing. So I can vouch that hers are great. I can't compare to VC as I have never worked with them.

No I haven't they are in safe right now will try to get out later this week when work isn't so busy. But they really are nice. I did the medium size.
