She’s pink, and she’s a topaz. She’s Jennifer Topaz! You can call her JTo. She hails from the Victorian block.

From the lovely Franziska Vintage Jewels...

Pink topaz measures approximately 9.8 x 5 mm with a lovely and interesting elongated oval cut... .87 to .97 carats by calculation so I averaged it at .90. Some calculations showed it as over 1 carat, though.

The old mine cuts are lovely and chunky with large open culets and great fire, good color with a little warmth under magnification. One calculates out to be approximately .35 and the other .40 though again they might weigh more.

The old Swiss cut halo (with one old transitional replacement) works out to be approximately .16 carats. (20 diamonds total)

@JPie you come up with the most fabulous names of all time!! The subtle scalloping around JTo‘s bezel adds a rich texture that I could get lost in! She fits right in next to her Georgian sister. And your garden shots...the pink blooms behind your hand beautifully enhance the lovely romantic hues. It’s always a treat to see things through your eyes!
