She’s pink, and she’s a topaz. She’s Jennifer Topaz! You can call her JTo. She hails from the Victorian block.
From the lovely Franziska Vintage Jewels...
Pink topaz measures approximately 9.8 x 5 mm with a lovely and interesting elongated oval cut... .87 to .97 carats by calculation so I averaged it at .90. Some calculations showed it as over 1 carat, though.
The old mine cuts are lovely and chunky with large open culets and great fire, good color with a little warmth under magnification. One calculates out to be approximately .35 and the other .40 though again they might weigh more.
The old Swiss cut halo (with one old transitional replacement) works out to be approximately .16 carats. (20 diamonds total)
