Meet "Lena" the 3.15 N/VVS1 OMC by DK...also known as "why I sold my OEC" !

Back in May, I did the unthinkable. I sold my dream ring 3.62 OEC. ( I couldn't believe it either! ) But something happened one day during a casual Instagram scroll. I saw the most AMAZING diamond. It grabbed me at first sight. And I had to have it.

The universe tested my resolve from day 1. The diamond was in Berlin. It was DHL certed but not GIA. It was already mounted. It took a few days to sell my OEC ring but then Paypal held onto the funds for over a week! I found out a full ring imported to the US is subject to taxes..but a loose stone is not. On and on , one issue after another.
But finally she was in my hands. And I loved her even more in person!

I had already been working with Amy at David Klass on the design. I knew I wanted an east/ west bezel. Heavily engraved. It didn't take many cads (better than my average anyway )

I finished it off with two chunky omc sides.

Dk sent my diamond to GIA while they worked on my ring. The DHL cert was an N/Flawless. GIA came back with N/VVS1....so pretty close!
Anyway, I love her and have zero regret. Many pics to share!

hahaha I asked bc I'm sending him a gold band to be engraved and he told me "if you feel brave then I can just send to the engraver and tell him to pick something" and I'm like "ummmmm".
