Hi. I have searched high and low for questions on melee on-stems but could not find anything..I am having my 1.14 round diamond reset in a cushion halo. It will have a Plain donut. No cathedral. Pave on shank. I am trying to decide on melee on stems? Rounded or outward oriented stems? Thank you in advance. I will wear with a thin diamond wedding band.

Have you looked at the Emilya by Victor Canera?

Here's a couple with outward stems:

One other question-are there any thoughts to outward vs inward facing stems on halo rings? any pros vs negs? And any negs on having melee on the stems? I appreciate the info here!

Sometimes, depending on the design, concave stems allow for more room for a wedding band to sit next to the ering. Since you are
doing a donut I don't think it matters as much but you want to make sure your wedding band can sit next to the donut and not bump
into the stems.

I agree with tyty333 that inward stems leave more room for a wedding band. As for melee on stems, will your ring be cast or hand-forged? Melee on stems may look a bit bulkier or less delicate on a cast ring than on hand-forged.
