Midnight Gray Spinel Man’s ring

So I’ve kind of been on a roll with rings lately.…

I’ve had this incredible 5.75 carat midnight gray Spinel from Gary Braun that has just been sitting in my box for a couple of years. I never thought I could do anything with it because it seemed too big.

I originally envisioned a woman’s cocktail ring oh… Something you might wear on New Year’s Eve… But decided to make something for myself instead.

I talk to Bruce Boone about it and we wound up setting it in a Cobalt Chrome “Bookends” setting with Gibeon meteorite inlay.

I couldn’t be happier with the results. Possibly my favorite ring right now:
