Hi ladies! I've been lurking for a while so I thought I'd finally join in on the conversation. I've recently developed LIW-itis, but SO and I don't have much of a timeframe yet so I could be here for quite a while. We've been together for 4 years, living together for 2. We know we're going to get engaged, we're just not sure how soon. No ring yet, but he knows I've been looking and trying to learn about diamonds. Anyway, I'm excited to get to talk to you guys! This seems like such a great community.

I've changed my mind a lot when it comes to ring styles, but I think I've decided that I want an RB solitaire. Simple and classic and the most "me." I'd love to do it in rose gold to make it a little different from what I normally see. However, my SO is excited about picking something out on his own (with some helpful tips from me, of course ) so I'm going to try to give him some wiggle room.

I'm in a similar-ish situation to you, and been with SO a similar-ish time! I've been learning about diamonds too, I've been here for six months but feel I've merely scratched the knowledge surface!

Hey Chewbacca! Yes, that's my puppy. He's the sweetest thing! I feel the same way you do about learning about diamonds; it's never-ending! I think the hardest thing for me is translating all of that information into boy-friendly advice for SO. I was accidentally throwing techy words at him and he just looked like Poor guy.
