Milgrain on band scratch engagement ring?

My diamond has just been reset into a new setting. I recently purchased this band with milgrain..Now I’m wondering if the milgrain will scratch my engagement ring. Does anyone know if I need a spacer for this band?

What material is your engagement ring? if the band is harder material than that, there's a risk of scratching if they rub.

Thanks for responding! My engagement ring is 18k white gold. The band is 14k white gold.

I think realistically anytime two rings are worn together scratching occurs, even wearing a spacer scratches.

Thank you! I just got my new setting so I’m being extra careful. It’s like getting a new car..The first scratch and you feel like you’re going to die. Before PS I wore all my bands together with my then engagement ring. I never even gave it a thought.
