So Saturday my BF and I went into town so he could go to the jeweler. He put 50% down on the ring!! I had to wait around outside while he was in there so he could have some privacy or whatever, it seemed like forever that he was in there. Things are finally coming together and it's getting more real every day! The jeweler said it would take 4-6 weeks to make and set, I'm hoping it happens faster than that. To say I'm excited doesn't even do my emotion justice.

Thats so exciting!!! Yes, do you know what the ring looks like or will it be a total surprise? Also did you go with a small jeweler or one of the big brand names (zales, jareds, etc.) and did you buy everything (ring and setting) at that same store?

I picked out both the setting and the stone and am getting both there.

Its a .90 RB GIA ex-ex-ex,G VS2. I don't have the cert # with me at the moment. I saw it in person and it's beautiful.

I fell in love with this setting the moment I saw it, I'll have a RB in it instead of the emerald. I love it because I've never seen anyone else with it.

I'm so excited!!

That is beautiful!!! I love the sparkly setting! I actually got really excited when I saw the EC, I love ECs but it will be beautiful with the round too! YAY!

"Why wont he ask?" thread. I feel like these guys just dont understand how inhumane they are being by waiting!

I hope I don't post a "why hasn't he asked" thread even if he sits on them for a while. Although the fact that he keeps asking me via text message to marry him and I get rejecting him saying that he has to ask me in person might be part of his plan. I'm just trying to relax and enjoy.

I will say knowing that they've been ordered as come as a huge relief and I feel much less anxious about it compared to before everything was certain.
