Aaaaaaand ... just putting out feelers before I put up a real ad ... I seem to have outgrown my skinny french cut band. Hard to gauge carat weight when it's this skinny, but I'd say between 30 and 40 points. Ooo, awesome - I'm glad it's got good odds of finding a happy home! I've been feeling weirdly guilty (towards the inanimate object) every time I reach into the jewelry box and have to pass it over, but after almost having it fall off my finger one time, too risky! Soon as the kiddo goes down for his nap, I'll snap some better close-ups of the band by itself and put up an ad!

P.S. - As long as I'm personifying, I'm sure my little wallflowers up there would love some attention, and I'm happy to take offers. :naughty:

What do they call that with the little star-like shapes? It looks like it's antique georgian.

Heh, thanks! That's actually my wedding ring - I wish on every star I see, so I had my jeweler make me up a literal etoile band when we got married. I see the motif on a lot of vintage pieces, too, but I've never seen I specific term for them. Mutual pact to tell the other if we ever stumble across the info?
