Movement toward setting my sapphire!

Ok. I finally settled on what I want to do with my Finewater sapphire. I’m making it into a 3 stone with 2 HPD/CBI side stones!

My sapphire with current CBI.

The sapphire is 1.64 carats and this CBI is a .56 G si2

The new CBI is .57 F si1 (paul in Antwerp said this is the closest match he has and the two side stones will look the same, especially since separated by the sapphire).

High performance diamonds will set the stones and make the ring. Since I will have 3 in college in fall and 3 birthdays in early August (lol), I asked to delay until September to be sure I get through all things related to children.

I think so!! And I’m really into unplated white gold at the moment, so I think that is what I will go with for metal.

Just that 3 stone above. I haven’t thought more about the shank, etc.

Since a three stone will give really nice finger coverage, I don’t think there needs an elaborate design on the shank. I love Elle’s designs... If I were setting a three stone, I’d probably keep the shank clean and choose a look along the lines of her Vivant setting. Love the diamonds on the profile.

Ok, it’s gong to be a platinum 2.5mm trellis setting, each stone with 4 claw prongs and as close to each other in height as possible.

Still waiting until September as I just spent 13k on all things college related with about another 5k to go,. 3 in college y’all

Thank you! But I think your ring with trellis setting with claw prongs will have those extra little touches that's going to make it sublime. Looking forward to your update in September!
