#TBT My 2.07ct I SI2 Round Brilliant Engagement Ring!

Hi PS-ers,

I finally got around to taking photos of my ring! Previously, I had only posted iPhone photos which just didn't do my ring justice.

Like I said within the post, I was actually mistaken regarding my ring specs.

Here are the legit specs:
- 2.07ct round brilliant, 0.31ct side diamonds, tcw of the ring is 2.38ct.
- GIA Triple Excellent
- I Color
- SI2 (100% eye clean)
- No fluorescence
- Ring size 5.75

"It is a custom hand-made setting by Ryder Diamonds in Hong Kong. The design was inspired by Tacori's 2638. It is a cathedral setting thst has a micro pave side of diamonds, as well as side facing diamonds, milgrain details and double-claw 4 prongs. It features 2 small leaves on the basket with diamonds in the middle because his last name is Ip which in Chinese means leaves."

That is so gorgeous! To me that is like the perfect solitaire. Great size, with some tasteful side detailing to keep it interesting. Perfection!

I especially love the profile with those details on the basket, I haven't seen a basket quite like that before. Stunning.

Do you live in HK? I have made several trips and purchased from other jewelry stores but never heard of Ryders...which doesn't mean much as I just know of 2-3 that I used all the time.

Hi Sarahbear621... I've been living in HK for just over 2 years now and didn't know of any bespoke jewelers. I did some research (google search...haha) and came upon a few. Ryder diamonds was one of a handful we came upon and I think they've been around since 2005. I can personally vouch for their professionalism and fantastic team of consultants, sketch artists, and in-house workshop and jewelers. I may return to them for our wedding bands.... and later on I would really like a pair of diamond studs
