Hi All,

I’m so excited to share my dream come true stone and setting.

It was a long time in the works, and there’s a bit of a story behind it, so for those that are here for the stats, here we go:

Centre Stone
2.46 K VS1, transitional cut previously owned by lovely @damelza
Measures: 8.62 x 8.89 x 5.28
Depth: 60.4%
Table: 53%

Finger Size: 4.25 on a 3.75 finger to allow for some swelling in the Aussie summer.
56-58% finger coverage

Setting
Platinum with 6 tab prongs
Side stones are calibre frenchies, custom cut by Yoram
Small sapphire on the inside of the band which represents the birthstone of my soul dog.
I stack it with my Tiffany channel set eternity and Bev K ruby french cut eternity.

My life crumbled between August and Christmas last year. I lost my fur baby, Arlo, to an aggressive cancer, the following week my husband almost died of pneumonia and had to have an operation to remove a suspicious tumour, and I had taken a new job which meant I worked away from home during the week. Without writing an epic, a number of other life changing events happened in just a few weeks of each other, and I spent a lot of time alone and struggling to get through each day with a smile.

As a distraction, Pricescope became a sanctuary during my darkest days and long sleepless nights. Looking at all these sparkling jewels brought me so much happiness, and the banter between you all made me feel less isolated. One night while DH was in hospital, I came across Damelza's beautiful transitional cut on LT and immediately fell in love and charmed the pants right off me! I decided to ask if it was still available; the listing was old, so i didn’t count my chickens. To my disbelief she replied that it was and we had a quick, friendly and easy transaction before it was sent away to Caysie.

It took a few months, but the stone finally arrived in April and I've been smitten since. In an odd way, it feels like it's been on my hand forever.
The stone is just incredible, she reflects everything around me (including my black phone case!!) and I only see a slight tint from the side. Otherwise, it's bright and lively. The french cuts are also sublime, but I would expect nothing less from Yoram. Caysie put my ideas into a CAD perfectly, and the finished product surpassed my expectations. It's the second time I've worked with her on a project and she was a complete delight.

I am so pleased to own a piece of jewellery that was completely born from pricescope. All the elements have been taken from the years of adoration I've had for other pieces on this forum, so thank you all for helping me create my dream ring.

Oh @McLaren! I was going "ooooooooo!!" from the moment I saw the title of the thread and before it was even open!

That's a STUNNING ring - perfect in every way! I really hope it, and the thought of it while it was being made, brought you solace in what sounds like a hellish time.

Jewelry, for me, is what photos are for many other people. Every piece I own represents a success, solace after a heartache, a milestone, or a birthday, Christmas or anniversary. And some pieces are memorial and connect me to a person or an animal I've loved and lost. I hope this ring goes some way to reflecting back to you the beauty of your relationship with your dog. <3

Wishing you many years of joy and peace as you wear your gorgeous ring.

Your new ring is just divine! I hope things have smoothed out now for you and your husband. Enjoy all the sparkles!!!

Absolutely gorgeous! I hope the diamond and the ring symbolize how strong and resilient you are when faced with life's challenges.

What she said… I couldn’t have said it any better. Wishing you years of joy with her @McLaren

Absolutely gorgeous ring and so stunning on your hand! So glad that PS provided you with the joy and distraction that you needed during a trying time (I have been there, too).

Wow!! It’s absolutely amazing!! A masterpiece to be sure. I hope it brings you much comfort and joy!!

Amazing!! I love the details of the ring and those French cuts are divine!

I often find PS a good distraction when I need it. I hope this ring brings you joy and lifts your spirits. Nothing can replace the loss of your dear doggo but I'm sure you'll look at this ring and it'll remind you of all the good memories.

And if you ever need another distraction please feel free to post lots and lots of pics! We're here for you.

It's gorgeous and looks at home on your hand! What a great reminder that you can, and will, get through difficult times.

Stunning! I know this diamond well - I helped Demelza to find it and evaluate it. It was a eBay find! There are a couple threads with pictures of our two transitional diamonds together. It’s a real beauty and this new setting is just perfect for it. I love the tab prongs. I’m obsessed with tab prongs recently as I find claws catch too much.

I hope it brings you joy every day.

@McLaren This ring is utter, utter joy. I adore everything about it & I am so glad you bought that beautiful diamond, as it captured my heart a long time ago.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your dog & the health scares of your husband. Sending nothing but healing vibes across the miles & I hope your STUNNING ring brings a smile to your face & a reminder to your heart that adversity can be overcome.

The most beautiful ring! Stunning and special in every way. I’m so thrilled for you on creating this gorgeous heirloom. Enjoy it in good health.

This is really really nice. Congrats!:kiss2:

That ring is stunning and well worth the wait. The dimensions all go well together. More photos!

So gorgeous and I’m glad to see that the stone is still in the PS family! I’m sorry to hear about the difficulties and pain you have been through. I agree that Ps serves as a welcome distraction. Wear it in good health!

Your ring is gorgeous and what a stunning diamond!

Absolutely gorgeous! That diamond is everything and those frenchies are perfection!!!! I am so sorry about your fur baby… they are never with us long enough are they? I am so glad your husband pulled through… continued prays for your family…

Scrolling back up now to look at pics again ❤️

HI:

Stunning!!! Health and happiness to you and yours.

cheers--Sharon

This is exquisite! Just exquisite. Perfect in every way, and perfectly suited to your hand as well. I can't imagine anything better.

This is definitely going to be at least one of my all-time Pricescope favorites, if not the favorite!

ETA: I'm so glad that Pricescope and dreams were here for you during such a difficult and painful time, and I sincerely hope that life is now looking up for you and your loved ones in every way.

I am sorry to read about your struggles and hoping your husband is doing better. It’s a beautiful ring that was meant to be, thank you for sharing.

@mrs-b Thank you for your thoughtful response. I am over the moon with how it's turned out and it means even more to me that it represents my beautiful family. I don't know why, but I was a bit nervous about posting it here, but I'm so glad I've shared with everyone.

@MissGotRocks Thank you. Things definitely took a turn for the better in the new year, and this has been a complete highlight this new chapter.

@Lisa Loves Shiny Thank you Lisa, it definitely represents more than I can describe. I can't thank Caysie enough for making my perfect ring.

@cushioncutnut Thank you! I am struggling to get photos that do it any justice! It really is a sparkler!

@Catmom Thank you! I think it's fitting that all of the elements were inspired by the PS community that served me so much joy during a difficult time.

@Leigh10 Thank you so much xx

@lulu_ma Thank you, I hope you're on the brighter side of dark times now. xx

@Slickk Thank you! It really is a masterpiece and Caysie did the most incredible job bringing it to life. She is a wizard with proportions and details.

@maryjane04 Thank you, I will post some more photos when I can get some that represent it's true character. The stone is an absolute charmer which I've not been able to capture yet.

@plad25 Thank you, it feels like it's been there forever, or even been there before. I'm so glad it hadn't been sold. It was almost like it was waiting for me.

@Dreamer_D oh wow Dreamer! I had no idea. I would love to see those threads or for you to post the pictures you have. It's so wonderful to have someone who knows the history of the stone. If you have any more information on it from the bay seller I'd love to hear.

@Ally T Thank you Ally, the stone is so beautiful and can't be captured on camera. I'm so glad she has a fan club on PS :)

@LightBright Thank you, she means a great deal to me. It was a real 'you only live once' purchase but with an 'it was meant to be' element.

@Scon_ce Thank you, I am in agreement with you!! :)

@oncrutchesrightnow Thank you, Caysie did a wonderful job with the proportions and details. It was an honour to have her create this with me.

@Mreader Thank you, I'm so pleased she has a following on PS, you have all influenced creation with your wonderful pieces.

@kathley Thank you, she was a dream find. I adore transitionals, so to find a genuine one with such wonderful stats and incredible performance.

@lavenderdragonfly23 Thank you, they really aren't. I would trade all my possessions to have him back with me.

@canuk-gal Thank you so much xx

@ChickityChicken thank you so much. I am so thrilled with how it turned out.

@OboeGal wow, what a compliment! I'd never seen a 6 prong with french cuts before, so I knew it would be slightly unique, but Caysie did the most incredible job with the details. and of course it means so much more to me than just a new piece of jewellery. It represents those precious men in my life and how quickly life can change.

And for all of the dog lovers, here is my beautiful boy the week before he passed away.

I don’t recall details from the seller as it was about a decade ago, but I recall it was an estate seller in San Diego.

Here is a thread with lots of talk about the diamonds cut.

Well, Dreamer and I got together again yesterday and, just like last time, we had so much fun! Dreamer's ring and diamond are out of this world beautiful -- I have no words to say how much I love her ring! I actually asked her if she wanted to trade. Seeing her setting just cemented in my mind that I absolutely need to reset my OEC. The setting is okay, but it isn't fabulous like Dreamer's and my diamond needs a fabulous setting! As for the diamonds, they really could be related -- while there are some minor differences, they are very clearly two of a kind. We figured that my stone might have been cut 10-15 years earlier than Dreamer's, but to the casual observer they would probably look like twins. Her stone has so much fire and the facets are so crisp! And have I mentioned how much I love her setting? Okay, enough with the commentary and on with the photos!

Awww......what an incredibly sweet face, looking at you with all the love! :kiss2: How bittersweet, our memories of them......not a day goes by that I don't think about the dear dogs (and kitties) that I've been blessed to share life with and am filled with love and grief and gratitude.....

As I write this, my girl who is my avatar is lying directly at - on, really - my feet. She turned 10 in March, and little things are starting to go a bit sideways; nothing too serious yet, but still, there's a sense of foreboding of what is to come sooner rather than later. I thank you for sharing all of this, and his dear face, with us; you are reminding me to stop, right now and today, being so busy with things that SEEM important, but really aren't so much, to focus on the time I have left with her.

That is beautiful and looks lovely on your tiny finger!

Absolutely magnificent!! So sorry to hear about the loss of your beautiful dog and your dh’s health issues. Glad to hear things are better for you now. Wear your beauty in good health and happiness for years to come.
