My 4-Carat London Blue

This is one of my all-time favourite rings. It's a 4-carat London Blue topaz, surrounded by diamonds. It was a gift and came from a jeweller in my town. I get an immense amount of pleasure from looking into its aqua depths! Maybe it's because I'm a Londoner...that I love London TAHN! I met my husband in London, so this London Blue ring is appropriate. In fact, we lived one street away from each other for almost three years and never met...I used to put my shopping down on the corner opposite his flat, onto which his desk looked out, and I was usually wearing my bright red "housework and errands" fleece. He insists he never saw me standing there needing some help...!

Thanks, Miss G.! With much of my jewellery - and definitely this one - I stare at it and literally feel waves of pleasure! Am I actually mad or do others feel the same? And I know - yes, I know - that I should not have spent so much money on jewellery over the last 14 years, but I adore it and I don't run a car! Those are my excuses

This is so neat to see what you pull out each night --- what are we looking for next? It's like an advent calendar - a new 'pretty' every day! LOL

The vault!! You are so funny, Enerchi!

The big guns remaining are my Blue Nile Signature diamond bezel studs (E/F), my James Allen D-colour pendant, a Tiffany gold and lapis lazuli set of necklace and earrings, and an Art Deco hexagonal citrine, surrounded by a hexagon of diamonds.

Then there are smaller, inexpensive pieces like a dark-sapphire ring and a little ruby ring, etc, but I think I might leave them for a while. After what I've done so far, and then the above still to come, I think I'm all photo'd out!

I read your other post. I hope you get the Russian eggs onto the site! I'd love to see them.

Enerchi: You talk about the vault being open...well, guess what I've just found in one of its dusty corners? A solid gold house! It's a brooch that I'd forgotten about, and it has a lovely story. Suffice to say it's French, given to me by an elderly Parisienne, who was a model for Chanel and Balenciaga back in the Thirties in Paris. She moved to the States 43 years ago.


......To be continued. It's the witching hour so the vault is closed and the goblins have to lock up the castle. Maybe I'll post my house tomorrow...

I LOVE this ring because it looks almost exactly like mine, except I have micro pave on the band as ewll. I just love how dainty the halo is next to the beautiful blue. My stone is same shape as yours too! Very pretty....
