My .58 long emerald from wildfish gems

Wow, that’s gorgeous!

Beautiful! How do you plan to set it (if at all)?

@livannie thanks, I love it!

@leukolenos I'm not sure yet. Ed thought this would make a great pendant, and he is probably right, but then I will only be able to see it in a mirror! He also has sandawana melee, so I may purchase some of those from him too...

I have a blue sapphire that needs a ring setting first, so this will go in the vault for up to a year (unfortunately, but my money tree needs to grow or I need to win powerball)

Beautiful WW! The color is gorgeous!

Gorgeous emerald! Excellent saturation and luster. I think a pendant would be LOVELY.

Wow! It looks so gorgeous in all of those different lighting environments. Beautiful!

I love the color whitewave!

That is a beautiful emerald!! I just read about them. They are from Zimbabwe and have a high chromium content. That would explain the lovely color.

Thanks, everyone! It is definitely a winner.

Ed also sent me a copy of his book and a piece of rough Russian amethyst. (I'll add pic of this one later)

STUNNING color! Congrats. :mrgreen2:

I'm busy all weekend and it is raining... I want to take some more pics in the sunshine and in the grass!

@elle_71125 I'm open to all options :mrgreen2: And I have the bug now for emeralds-- think of wearing back with emeralds-- to die for.... so this will not be my only one. I'm thinking earrings, pendant, band, bracelet, brooch and ring!

Beautiful emerald and congrats on scoring it at a reduced price! I second the east-west idea posted above.

HI:

Pretty cool stone. :appl: Too bad Ed didn't have a match--what FABU stick drop earrings they would have made.....

So, as a emerald singleton of this dimension....something Repossi ish. Ultra modern

I wish you hadn't told me about this website.

I love it!!!

Antique stones and styles are not for me. I have a clearly modern aesthetic.

And yes, yes, yes about the drop stick earring idea-- too bad indeed!!

@whitewave, what a beautiful emerald wow on the color:love: and I also love the east west setting @elle_71125 suggested. :appl:

I am so torn about which to set first-- the sapphire or the emerald. Sapphire is my birthstone and I have always wanted a ceylon blue one, which I now have and it is gorgeous. (See my posts).

But this emerald... WOW!!!:love::love: As you can see, the color is gorgeous and it is special. It calls to me... something almost otherworldly about it... so glowy and inviting.

And in my post above, I meant to say black, not back!! Lol. Wear all black and have a suite of emeralds.... jaw dropping gorgeous.

+1 on the E/W setting suggestion!! It would be amazing!

My manicure is already wrecked lol

Nice color! In some of your photos, the stone looks like it has a long veil or feather running through the length of it. If that is the case, I would put it in a more protective setting (and definitely pendant, not ring).

Beautiful, I would get lost in that gem!

Hi @whitewave! Long time no 'talk' i was beginning to wonder what new projects you must be cooking up when i saw this thread. The color on this is STUNNING! I can't wait to see reveals!

So beautiful and glowy! Can’t wait to see that pendant!
