my anniversary/replacement wedding ring

Well, I think it''s about time to share my ring. We were married almost 16 years ago, one of us was still a student. I got a yellow gold set with not so great center diamond. Almost three years ago, the center stone fell out, never found it. Since I felt naked, we got me a 2mm platinum band ("looks like a washer" was my husband''s comment). Fast forward to last December we decided to take the plunge and get something that I''d love, and he''d love too.

So, I got a Assher 3 stone ring in platinum. Enjoy!

Oh, the ring came from Blue Nile, setting is platinum, center stone 0.8 ct, sides are 0.42 ct.

Strangely, I find myself missing the yellow of my original set--has that happened to anyone else?

Thanks for all the nice compliments! I really love it. Here''s a question for all of you--I have a standard 2mm platinum band as my wedding/plain/cooking/cleaning band that I wear. That''s the one in the pictures. It''s always seemed kind of insubstantial when I wear it alone. I know I could pull off a 3mm comfort fit, but would be too much with the anniversary ring too? I do have pretty short fingers--and when did my hands look so OLD?? What do you think?

Your new ring is gorgeous! Just the right size and I love the asschers.

I defiinitley understand the missing yellow gold. I reset my diamond last June for our 20th anni. I went from a yg tiffany style solitaire to a wg split shank solitaire. I lov the new ring. My stone looks great. But, once in a while I miss my original. I still have it and am considering finding a stone to set into it as an alternate ering. (Am I silly that I think it''s funny that my orignal would be the alternate?)

Hi BG, I love your new ring but I completely understand missing the colour - my original was Rose Gold and I miss it terribly :-0. I thought my stones would look better in WG but it was actually more interesting in Rose and I should have instead changed my stone. However, you have gorgeous stones and a gorgeous ring so enjoy!
