Danhov said the band design was a french pave. I am pretty sure that the pave is referring to the small diamonds in the band. The "french" Part I think refers to how they are set in there (with the little cross stichings on the side)

After looking at pics, it looks most like beadset, the diamonds are not covered on the sides of the ring.
