So I know I''m not technically a bride anymore (I got married in February), but I just wanted to share my excitement about the present my husband gave me/arranged for my 21st birthday yesterday!
A little bit of background: When we got married in February (in New York, so it''s right in the middle of winter at that time of year), I was so worried it would be bad weather, snowing, raining, etc. But on February 8 we woke up and it was beautiful! 60 degrees and sunny and I was unbelievably excited to take some pictures outside because the place we got married has such a pretty view outside and a gorgeous gazebo and pretty trees. We got to the hall, got dressed, and started taking pictures and I asked my photographer if we could go outside for some pictures. He refused. I BEGGED him to go outside. Still refused. I was upset about it, but since it was my wedding day and I didn''t want it ruined I let it drop and I also had a million other things on my mind. The day was beautiful - the best day and night of my life. Everything went smoothly and everything was incredible, but the one thing I have regretted every single day and the one and only thing that really has upset me is that we have no outdoor pictures from that beautiful venue when it was such a gorgeous day.
Fast forward to last night (my birthday): My husband gave me presents Tuesday night after midnight and then yesterday morning before he went to work and I thought that was it for the presents. Last night he came home from work and took me to a really nice restaurant in Manhattan and when we came home he said he had one more present for me. He said he can''t actually give it to me right now, but he made something for me and I have to guess what the present is from it. He handed me a booklet of papers - it was a picture on each page of something and I had to guess the pictures and put it all together. There was a picture of me, one of him, one of flowers, one of Men''s Warehouse, one of the place I got my hair and makeup done, one of the hall we got married at, and one of a photographer. Basically, he got his tux cleaned and rented a vest/tie from Men''s Warehouse again, he arranged with my mom to have my wedding dress out and made sure it was clean, and he called up the hall and got permission to come back tomorrow (July 3 - when he has off from work for July 4th weekend). He made me an appointment to get my hair, makeup, and nails done tomorrow morning, and he hired a photographer (a different one) to come take pictures of us for an hour or 2 outside there!!! I can''t believe how thoughtful he was to do something like this - I really feel like the luckiest girl in the world for having a husband who would do something like this for me
I know it might sound silly to get all dressed up again almost like we''re pretending it''s our wedding day again and taking "fake" wedding pictures, but I''m so so so excited about this and I really can''t wait to have those pictures! I''m just praying it doesn''t rain tomorrow (like it has EVERY SINGLE DAY for the last month) and everything goes smoothly. Can I get some dust for good weather and great pictures, please??
Thanks!
