My Custom Rhodolite Garnet Ring

Hello all,
I just wanted to share my gold ring that I just had custom made with a local jewelry store that used my own gold. So this amazing stone was bought from a wonderful fellow PSer off of Loupe Troop. The ring turned out fabulous! It actualIy has a nice weight to it and bolder than any rings I currently own. I have never owned any stone of this size, so I am still getting used to wearing it. The color looks lovely! What texture is the metal? I find that taking pictures outside in the shade of a tree is best for capturing gem and details.

The band is hammered if that is what you are asking. I actually requested a smoother looking hammered technique, but this is what the jeweler decided to do, which is growing on me. It will eventually smooth itself out with time and wear, as I was told since it is a higher karat weight gold. I really like the contrast between the cup and the band. Thank you for your photo taking advice.

sonyachancs: That was part of the concept/look I was going for...a beautiful golden flower to surround the yummy center stone.

This is very delayed, but I saw that I still had the glamour shot by Gene that was included on the LT listing for this stone. I could never take that kind of pic on my own. It definitely shows you how I see it at times too.
