So this is only a tiny little show me the bling thread... I was going to wait till all my other CVB treasures arrived to do this but that's going to take awhile.

I've actually had Alexandria for a few months now. I wear this to work sometimes in place of my actual wedding band because it's pretty and I was a bit paranoid about the rose gold on my band becoming a bit yellow... does it do that with age and frequent hand washing?

Anyway... I had to take Alexandria off to put on some sterile gloves yesterday. I usually wear an Emily C necklace to put my rings onto if I have to take them off- but as luck would have it, I forgot my necklace... so I slipped it onto my ID tag holder and promptly forgot about it.

I realised about an hour later that I didn't have my ring on. Then looked down to retrieve it from my tag and saw that it was missing!! I was HORRIFIED!! I was asking all the other staff members if they had seen my ring (no one had), checking all around the patient who I had been doing the procedure on... I was convinced it must've been tossed out with all the equipment I had been working with by accident!! My heart absolutely SANK as this is one of my favourite CVB bands...

I had all but given up hope when I happened to glance at the floor- and THERE IT WAS!! It must've slipped off my tag as I sat down at a computer to work on something else. I'm lucky it didn't get kicked into a corner and then vacuumed up by the cleaner or tossed into the trash with all the bloody gauze and needles!!

Because of this incident... I decided that my band deserves its own little thread. I only have an iPhone camera... but did try my best with these! Here she is, posing with my little DIY version of the MrsBox (the purple velvet was too fluffy and difficult to work with so looks a bit odd), and the Bailey band also from CVB!

Very pretty band - so glad you didn't lose it! Thanks for sharing.

Gorgeous bands! Glad you found it!

Alexandria is my CVB favorite band , in IG recently was a photo with Alexandria and Sophia bands in RG and i admire them nearly everyday :lickout: I hope you will continue to wear the band despite the accident. I prefer to wash hands with the rings on, otherwise i'd easily forget to put them them. I'm not sure about RS changing the color with the time.... the rose gold jewelry i own did not, but i've heard about this....

What a relief to have found it! I agree, just wear it in pubic, don't remove it! If you're at work and it's just too risky I would wear a plain band.

Gorgeous!!!:love::love::love:

And your scare is one I've felt too and it's awful. I remove my rings after I wash and dry my hands when I am in my office so I can moisturize and well it's so easy just to forget to put the rings back on...

So relieved and glad you found your band!!!

Beautiful!

Lovely. CVB has the best stackers.

Yikes! So glad you were able to find your beautiful band again!! They both are very very nice :D What else are you having made?

Oh, I've never heard of rose gold changing colors. It's made from mixing other metals, not plating, so I'd be very surprised if you noticed any changes with time.

Whew! What a scare, thank goodness you found it! Both bands are so beautiful! Copper tarnishes rather quickly. Maybe that's why it appears to have changed color. I polish my rose gold frequently and was told that storing in a small sealed plastic bag when not wearing helps. Leaving it exposed to the air tarnishes the pieces faster. In any case, thank you for sharing your lovelies!

Its beautiful! I'm so glad you found it...I know that devastating feeling (lost 2 rings that I loved due to my own stupidity!:knockout:)

So glad you found your band! Your CvB Alexandria is lovely. I haven't noticed my rose gold changing colors (thus far)... is this happening to your wedding band?

Btw, I think your homemade velvet ring boxes look wonderful! How did you stamp foil onto the velvet?

Thank you everyone for your lovely comments on my little CVB treasures!!

Skhii, I had to experiment and waste a whole lot of velvet to foil. My letters still don't come out perfect, but that's part of the whole DIY process I suppose. I use a heat transfer adhesive which I ironed it on. Problem is, velvet does NOT take well to ironing at all... which is something I'm still struggling with!!

Beautiful band! So glad you found it!!

Gorgeous band! And I am another who'd say don't wear a band to work that you plan to take off at any point. I do not take my rings off when I am away from my home. If I wash my hands, I rub the lotion on my hands and avoid the area with my rings. Too much risk of losing them if they are ever taken off.

Love this band! It's gorgeous

It's breathtaking! And it looks great on your hand.

Both your bands are gorgeous! I am so glad you didn't lose it. Just reading about it gave me a pit in my stomach. I wouldn't worry about the gold losing its color. I think that would only be a problem with something that is plated. Your piece is rose gold through and through so I don't think there is any chance of that.

I have learnt my lesson from this scare..! I do have a necklace ring holder specifically for wear to work because sometimes (rarely) I must take them off but I had gotten lazy given how rarely I needed to use it and had stopped wearing it!!

Every time I wear my rings to work from now on, I HAVE to wear the necklace. No more being too lazy to put it on for me!!!

It's so beautiful. This is on my bling list for sure!
