So this is only a tiny little show me the bling thread... I was going to wait till all my other CVB treasures arrived to do this but that's going to take awhile.
I've actually had Alexandria for a few months now. I wear this to work sometimes in place of my actual wedding band because it's pretty and I was a bit paranoid about the rose gold on my band becoming a bit yellow... does it do that with age and frequent hand washing?
Anyway... I had to take Alexandria off to put on some sterile gloves yesterday. I usually wear an Emily C necklace to put my rings onto if I have to take them off- but as luck would have it, I forgot my necklace... so I slipped it onto my ID tag holder and promptly forgot about it.
I realised about an hour later that I didn't have my ring on. Then looked down to retrieve it from my tag and saw that it was missing!! I was HORRIFIED!! I was asking all the other staff members if they had seen my ring (no one had), checking all around the patient who I had been doing the procedure on... I was convinced it must've been tossed out with all the equipment I had been working with by accident!! My heart absolutely SANK as this is one of my favourite CVB bands...
I had all but given up hope when I happened to glance at the floor- and THERE IT WAS!! It must've slipped off my tag as I sat down at a computer to work on something else. I'm lucky it didn't get kicked into a corner and then vacuumed up by the cleaner or tossed into the trash with all the bloody gauze and needles!!
Because of this incident... I decided that my band deserves its own little thread. I only have an iPhone camera... but did try my best with these! Here she is, posing with my little DIY version of the MrsBox (the purple velvet was too fluffy and difficult to work with so looks a bit odd), and the Bailey band also from CVB!
