[Jokes aside, if you are wearing special (I mean supportive) undies, then wear them for the fitting as they can change the shape or fit of the dress, but if not then wear a nice set. Believe me, it is easy to forget. I was shamed to realise then not only did my undies not match (horror of horrors) but I had put my knickers on inside out

Sorry for the teaser, ladies! MANY PICS below, I promise!

I have to share my little drama, though. But don''t worry gals, I stayed calm and smiled throughout the entire thing, did not lose my composure or anything so . . . here''s the breakdown.

The good news: It fits me perfectly! I ordered a size 10 because the 8 was too tight and the 12 was huge, but I was really nervous that it wouldn''t fit. It did. AND I don''t even need to wear a bra or anything with it, which is amazing for my size.

The bad news: The tulle at the hem is horribly uneven, and when I say horribly, I mean it was bad enough for my FATHER to notice it immediately. (My father did not notice when I bleached my dark brown hair in high school. It takes a lot to get his attention.) The alterations specialist was shocked and said she''s never seen anything like it.

The worse news: Since the time I ordered the dress (mid-September) they have dicontinued it, and there are only THREE left in their entire nationwide inventory--two 12s and an 8. And NONE of them have extra length, so they''re all far too short for me.

The potentially good news: The ladies at the store were extremely apologetic, and they''re quite certain they can fix the tulle without taking off too much length. I had to order it with the maximum extra length they can provide, which is 4 inches, and I NEED all 4 inches, so cutting anything off the bottom means I''ll probably need to wear flats, but that''s okay.

I''m okay with the situation, and I''m confident that they''ll do their best to fix it. I love it so much that I don''t want to just get my money back and start all over, so I''m staying optimistic!

Kudos to you for keeping your head up ... I''m sure that your positive attitude will secure a positive outcome -whatever that may be - regardless of whether or not the issue with the hem is able to be resolved.

GORGEOUS!!! If I were going to get a princess gown, it would have been one with a BIG poufy tulle skirt!! There''s just something about walking around feeling like you are part of a cloud!! Which is how you look, like you are just floating on top of a cloud. Beautiful.

You must feel like a fairy princess in your beautiful dress! I tried on a similar style dress on one of my trips and while it wasn''t what I had in mind for my wedding, boy was I tempted! I didn''t want to take it off ever! I''m so glad they should be able to fix your problem, and kudos for keeping such a cool head about it!

Thanks, ladies! I am so excited about it, especially since I had some doubts because I bought it on a whim (my first trip dress shopping) and it is the opposite of what I had in mind! Everyone who knows me is going to be SHOCKED that I chose a ballgown, which I think will be very fun!

You ladies sure do know how to make a gal feel good. I was nervous about posting pics because I went straight from work to the salon--I don''t think I could have been any more hangdog tired than on a friday at 5 PM!

ETA: Sunny, I absolutely ADORE your Novo! I love seeing it everytime your avatar pops up in a thread, it's gorgeous! I actually think I'm going to go post it in Musey's (is it Musey's?) thread about which ring would you get if you were to get a different e-ring!

ETA: It is dresses like yours that make me wish I had done the big wedding dress [either the 1st time or the 2nd]. They are so regal and gorgeous! I guess I'll have to wait for DD to get married! [And I know I'll have to spring for at least the dress! LOL!]
