This was the project that took me the longest to complete of anything I've ever made. I bought the stones last August, received them last September, chose a mounting at GOG that didn't come in for two months, the mountings came in bad so I had to search for something else, the recession hit and the bottom fell out of our finances. And so I waited knowing that things had to turn around eventually and when they did, I found this Stuller mounting quite by accident. I really like them an awful lot! I already own studs in platinum and earrings jackets in white gold and I wanted something a little bit different. These were perfect for my tastes.
These are my diamonds, each is a .26 pt GIA certed H VS2, both are triple Exs. Both eye and 10x loupe clean.
4.12 x 4.14 x 2.54 and 4.12 x 4.14 x 2.56 They're virtual twins. Both tables 57%. Depths 61.5 and 61.7
There are sixteen one point full cut H&A melees surrounding the center stones. The setter at GOG did a nice job. I had a temporary freak out when the sales associate handed me my completed earrings and told me I had a visible black inclusion on one of the center stones near the edge of the bezel. I was so tired of this project that I paid for them, took them to my regular jeweler, had the posts changed because my ears were killing me, he cleaned them and the black mark that the diamond setter put on one of the stones disappeared. So I'm back to eye clean and loupe clean like they were when I louped them loose. I couldn't be happier that this project is over!
So finally, here they are. They have remarkable arrows, but I couldn't capture them in the photos today.
