OMG!!!!!!! I am so stinkin' excited. I have admired the spinels on PS for a while, so excited to own one.

Guys, are they always this hard to photograph? Seriously she is so pretty IRL but it just doesn't translate in a picture. Also you know how I asked about sizing? Well the size is perfect! The seller put it in a beautiful box and enclosed a handwritten thank you note, in love with the whole process of buying this one.

There is extinction, but for me it's all good, the color more than makes up for it. Thank you for the feedback about this stone and the reassurance that it was a good one!

I took as many pictures as I could before the camera died! She likes the garden :kiss2:

Geesh, sorry some of those pics are supersize!

Wow - that color is amazing and I love the delicate look of the ring! Did you buy the stone separately, or did the jeweler provide it?

Thanks Shinyrocks! I actually found the ring on Etsy stone and all. It was someone who bought it from Yvonne Raley years ago and needed to sell it.

Wow!!!! What an amazing find. Definitely a ring with royal quality. It's a gorgeous piece.

Wow - congrats on the amazing find! Good Mahenge spinels seem so hard to find these days.

It's so beautiful. :kiss2:
I can't believe how fast it shipped to you. I feel like you just bought it yesterday. :lol-2: The color looks gorgeous!

It looks pretty amazing in those photos! If its even better IRL... Dang! Nice find!

Shinyrock it looks just lovely on your hand! The way the mahenges glow is just mesmerizing! Wear it in health.

Thanks dig, but really I have lots of help here to help make good decisions. Like that song, I get by with a little help from my friends :)

I'm so delighted that you decided to get it. Even better, you love it! It looks so lovely and sparkly on your finger!

Congratulations, it is gorgeous.

Great find!! When I joined PS, Yvonne and her source, Prima, had some of the nicest spinels..hard to find old stock anymore. And yes, they are hard to photograph, I gave up trying. Beautiful stone and setting...and in your size...meant to be!

Let me use emoticons=)2:lickout::appl:

The ring is so beautiful on your hand, and what a color! Congratulations on a great find!:appl:

I love the stone and the ring.. It's a stunner! More pix!

Oh Stephanie this is just gorgeous!!! I admit to a touch of jealousy, that stone is such a beautiful color and the setting is really lovely! Love those claw prongs. What a great find, it's a joy to look at and I'm glad you decided to buy it! Enjoy!

Congrats! It is very hard to capture the glow of Mahenges on photographs, but now that you have your ring you can see why people adore these spinels. The ring is beautiful and you got an incredible deal. :appl:

Congrats, it's beautiful!

Very pink and pretty StephanieLynn!!

Took her out and about today. First hanging around in the succulents then on to our favorite ice cream place. For you foodies that is a two scoop sundae with s'mores and chocolate ice cream (ice cream and whipped cream all made in house). Then we drove to the grocery store, so perspective shot there. Kind of gives a little more idea how she performs in different lighting. Actually the lighting in the ice cream place was not the greatest but the ice cream is fantastic! If you happen to have a Tractor Supply that is when she lit up the best:

SL, incredible! Gorgeous, and perfectly complimented by that setting!

Fantastic - you did really well in purchasing that gorgeous ring!

Looks fabulous!

Really beautiful! Congratulations!

Thank you for all your sweet comments. It's kind of cool to have a setting by Yvonne and a setting by Julia with two different pink stones and see each differently but love them so much.

Always thought that pink sapphire was my sweet spot but the glow of the spinel.....it's special and has a very sexy allure to it while the sleepy sapphire is like the pretty girl who is shy and quiet, sweet and feminine in an innocent kind of way.

Welcome to the spinel club too :D I started out thinking pink sapphires were the only path to happy pinkdom. Until I saw pink spinels in person.

That started the point of no return.
