Hi everyone!
Long time casual lurker here! I just purchased my first grownup RH ring to celebrate a work milestone. I fell in love with the setting and it was advertised as an Old European cut so I was IN! I love OEC’s hence my very uncreative username
looking more closely at the diamond, I don’t believe I have a true OEC, so I was hoping you may be able to help with some poorly taken photos.
The table is larger than my other OEC pieces, with a pretty shallow crown, but there is still a tiny culet which is very obviously off centre under a loupe. It also throws the chunky sparkles that I love in an OEC. The facets are also larger than a brilliant cut. I suspect I may have a Transitional round brilliant cut dimond.
Would really appreciate it if you could let me know your thoughts! I don’t have any large brilliant cut diamonds to compare (my e-ring is a princess cut) so it’s hard for me to compare...I am soooo sorry about the poor up close photos. It’s the best I can do with a cheap loupe and iPhone camera!
