I am so excited, I pulled the trigger yesterday on this beauty.....

Becca has been helping me and she’s been fabulous. I dropped my e-ring off at FedEx this morning. Now the waiting game begins!
Picture of my current ring is below. It's a double shank halo and currently the center stone is 1.01 G VS1. It's not certified so I'm not even entirely certain it is a G color. Could be an H. We bought it from our local jeweler and I didn't know about the importance of the cut quality at the time. I was focused on getting a certain carat weight, color, clarity, etc. You know how that goes...
I mentioned in a previous post that my jeweler thought I could go up to 1.5 on my current halo ring. But I wasn’t so sure and sent some pics to WF and they felt no more than 1.25 or it would look odd in the ring. My intention was for this to be an intermediate upgrade. In a couple years, I’ll probably want a new setting and then I can look at a more significant upgrade to the diamond .
This is my first super ideal cut so even though it won't be a huge size difference, I will see a such a difference in sparkle. My current stone is nice and white but doesn't give a lot of fire.
Last week, I dragged hubby to a local Hearts on Fire retailer so we could see what a super ideal looks like in person. So glad we did because even hubby could see that my current stone just doesn't sing like a super ideal. And I was pleasantly surprised to learn that after looking at the loose diamonds they had in stock, the sales lady advised that most of them were an H color and I couldn't see a color difference between my diamond and those. I even checked from the sides.
I'm having WF reset my original diamond in a pendant. Later I may try to sell it.
Can't wait to get my ring back with my new super ideal diamond and post pictures.
Here's a quick hand shot Becca took of the new diamond for me:
She's quite the beauty!
So thankful for PriceScope and all the great people here. I learned so much and it's been fun to learn about cut quality, hearts and arrows, tables, crown angles, fluorescence, etc. All things I didn't know before. It's actually addicting. I can understand now how people come here and keep coming back. I just want to keep looking at diamonds and learning more!!
