As many of you long time PSers know, I bought a 3.85 ctw, F-G, VS parcel of French cut diamonds from JbEG last spring and had a custom band made with them set on a diagonal. Here is the thread

Although I did love it, it was just too wide for my taste, my short fingers, plus the stones were not visually what I was hoping for. We talked about re-making it but Grace and I decided to list it and see if it would sell quickly. Well, it hadn't sold after a year (which was plenty of time) so I decided that it was time to have it remade into a channel set band (what's a bit more money after spending what I had ). I was able to get credit for the platinum from the old setting plus I got the single cuts for another project and have 2 stones left for possibly a dangle earring project. There are always projects in my mind
We floundered about making a 5 stone and using the other 4 for maybe a DBTY necklace. After searching for setting ideas etc., I knew I really wanted them channel set plus to use as many as I possibly could. I had saved this band from Lang Antiques as an inspiration and have viewed it at least a hundred times.

We ended up using 8 of the stones which worked out really well (I estimate to be a bit over 3 CTW, waiting on the info from the bench). The finger coverage is perfect. I would say it is approximately 60% of the band in diamonds, the remainder is engraved plus milgraining. All I see is sparkle!
Now on to photos, which of course is most important!
