I had a few posts/questions on Rocky Talky regarding this ring, and a few of you asked to see pics. So, today was a nice sunny day, and I tried out my normally pathetic photography skills. I think I managed to get a few (I hope) decent pictures.

This was my grandmother''s platinum engagement ring, which I recently inherited. I believe it is art deco in design, somewhere in the era of 1920''s-1930''s. Per a recent appraisal, the center stone is .70, transitional cut, and H-I color. The sidestones weigh a total of 12 points.

There are also some pics of the ring worn with her platinum & diamond wedding band. I haven''t had the band appraised yet, so I''m not sure about the specs.

Bear with me, I am a novice picture-poster.

Hope this works!

Whew-I had several more to post, but for some reason I kept getting error messages, so I guess that''s it for now!
It''s getting kind of late, maybe I''ll try again tomorrow.

It is stunning!

Very gorgeous piece! Even more special as it was your Grandmothers. Are you wearing it as your ER?

Mishy, soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo pretty!!!!

HI:

Stunning--what a treasure! Enjoy it!

cheers--Sharon

Hi Cather (can't seem to get the quote feature to work, I think I am posting-impaired):

I have been switching back and forth between wearing it as an e-ring and wearing it as a right-hand ring. I already have an e-ring, but this one is more unique looking and has lots of sentimental value to me. Fortunately hubby doesn't mind my switching rings around, good thing!

Thanks - you all are so great! (I don''t know why the last picture makes it the stone look so yellow, but I guess it''s just the indoor lighting and the way the picture took. Normally it looks like a nice white stone under most lighting conditions.)

I have to say that there are some EXQUISITE rings posted here and I love admiring them. I have opened some of the pics at work and actually gasped aloud, seriously

)! And one day I too will design my very own dream ring. But this ring holds soooo much sentimental value - my grandmother and I were very close - and that''s what makes this ring so beautiful to me.

Your ring is just beautiful! I love, love, love it!

Art deco jewellery is just so unique. Enjoy wearing it and all the memories it brings back for you.

That looks almost identical to my grandmother''s Art Deco (1934) ring! Wear it with pride; it''s very nice.

Beautiful! I love antique rings and there is something so special with the history behind an inherited piece.

What a gorgeous ring-I''m with Tacori-inherited jewelry is so special. Wear it in good health!

What a beauty! It just glows on your hand.

It''s lovely! Thank you for sharing your inherited treasure, I loooovveee the pics!
