They are here and they are gorgeous!!!

Special thanks to Jeremy from Pearl Paradise for his patience and generosity. I''d ordered the necklace before the Cyber Monday sale but he was such a gentleman and gave me the discount for the necklace when I ordered the matching earrings on Monday. Although I''d opted ]for standard shipping (too cheap to pay for shipping

), he sent it expedited to me knowing I was leaving the US next week. It was truly a pleasure working with him!

I ordered a more "goldeny" instead of the more pastel/lavender version that''s on the site. The necklace is 7-7.5mm and 17 inches long.

So without further rambling...here is the necklace. I''m not sure if I''ve done it justice because the metallics are really difficult to photograph and it kept getting washed out by the lighting.

Argh...the resizing is making my pics fuzzy.

Here is the necklace with the matching 9-9.5mm earrings.

Gorgeous! Congratulations!

Gorgeous! I am still so tempted by these!!!

Wow! They didn''t appeal to me on the website, but seeing them on you DD changes everything. The colours are so much more subtle.

Been a bit "pearled out" lately, but time I caught up on whats happening in pearls.

Gaah DiaDiva, those are GORGEOUS!!! Like Gailey, the website pictures didn''t appeal to me, but after seeing your pictures, I adore them! Thank you so much for sharing!

Sorry for the threadjack - We have similar coloring, and those pearls complement you so well. I''m looking to purchase a strand myself, but am unsure about the overtone. I prefer silver w/o rose, but do you find it is flattering on?

Simply beautiful!
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Glitter...it was your pics IRL that made me buy one

CCnut....you will love them...the lustre is just amazing. I can see myself clearly reflected in the pearls especially the earrings which are larger

.

Hi Gailey...good to see you posting again. Hope everything is OK. I like my necklace precisely because it''s a subtle multi-colour but that''s because I requested for a more "goldeny" strand. Jeremy was very helpful so if that''s what you''re looking for, he''s got a couple more strands. There were three when I was looking.

Clop, are you Asian/Chinese? If your colouring is similiar to mine, you should be able to wear both white with pink or white with silver overtone. It really depends on which one you prefer.

Thanks for the compliment, Ronnilee. I''m rediscovering my love for FWP especially after finding out that they are solid nacre!

They look beautiful on you, and I love the way they''re quite different from mine. I requested a dark strand with lots of purples. We both got what we wanted--great customer service.

They look gorgeous on you! A very different look to the layered tahitians. The layered tahitians are glamourous chic and this is simple classic elegance!

Thanks, Glitter - it is wonderful that we got what we were looking for. Will you sharing photos of your matching bracelet?

SS, you''re up early...either that or you were working really late. Thanks for the compliment. The metallics are very different from my SS and tahitians but in a good way. I need to stop buying pearls!

They look great on you!

I love it Dia!!! I love your taste in Pearls... all of them! they are soo Stunning on you! enjoy your new pearls!

BEAUTIFUL!

I love these, but I look at the prices and compare them to the prices here in SH, I''m not so sure. But they sure are purty!!

Yeah, missy, me thinks you have far too many pearls!!

Only kidding, PS''ers can never have too much bling or too many pearls!!

I have to say, these metallics are different from any other freshwater pearls I''ve ever seen. If you''re comparing them to even really, really nice freshwaters, you''re comparing apples and oranges. These are really different and much more beautiful. I think so, anyway.

Hmmmm, I was actually also trying to talk myself out of being tempted by these!!

Let''s see how far I can hold up my resolve, LOL! I''ve been drooling over the largest sized strand!!

DD, they look fabulous on you! This 'goldeny' color really complements you!

Slight threadjack: Are your bags packed yet? Wish you and your family a safe journey home!

Hey Phoenix...good to "see" you. I must agree with Glitter that the metallics are in a class of their own. My strand is almost perfect - very very few blemishes and only in a few pearls. My earrings are perfect, no blemishes and completely round. The lustre is also out of this world.

Hi Megeve, thanks for the compliment. My two remaining bags are not packed yet but the bulk of our stuff was already sent back in October. We''ve also moved out of our apartment and are now staying in a holiday rental on Sandbrige Beach in VA and it''s been wonderful, gorgeous views of the ocean and Back Bay. Four more days and I''ll be on my way home. Hmmm...the problem now is hand carrying all my jewellery

I completely missed this thread

I love the size of those earrings!
Thanks for sharing!!

DiaDiva... how are you enjoying the pearls in that size?? and that color? please, persuade me.
12.gif

Very pretty! I love the earrings too.

How would you describe the color of the earrings?

Swedish Bean, I haven''t worn it much because we''ve been home unpacking but I''ll probably wear it over the holiday period. It''s just that now that I''m home, I have a lot of other jewellery options
3.gif
and those I haven''t worn in more than 6 months.

I find the necklacae a bit "small" because I''m more used to my tahitians/SS but I wasn''t prepared to pay over a thousand for the 9mms. Still, it is a very pretty delicate strand, it''s definitely not as small as the pink/gold strand that I got from Pearl Lunar. Now that one was small.

Innerkitten, the earrings are gorgeous! They are the perfect size around 9-ish mm. It is a subtle pink gold. I compared it with my golden SS and the metallic is a really nice pink gold.

Those are stunning!!

Hiya DiaDiva
35.gif
lol thanks for responding to my slight threadjack. Yep, I''m Chinese; I love the silver overtone, but am having second thoughts after seeing BEG''s great comparison thread. Thanks for the reassurance! (though I''ve picked up quite a bit of color, and am now a bit brown.)

ps Just wanted to reiterate your golden metallics are stunning (as well as your to die for Tahitians), they''re so flattering on you.
30.gif

Those are yummy DiaDiva!

Thanks for the compliment Clop! I don''t know if I mentioned it in my comparison thread, but I''m Asian as well. I can do both rose and silver overtones - right now I prefer the former since I''m pretty pale (thanks Chicago winter!
14.gif
) but I prefer silvers for when I''m darker. I think they stand out more. But I don''t think you can go wrong either way - I would get both
