I bought this beauty a few days ago from a private seller, going only by the pics and specs provided. It seemed like a good deal, so I went for it! And it is lovely (to me anyway). I haven't taken it to my jeweler to have it looked at yet, but that is on the agenda for this week!
The center stone was described as approx 4.8mm, the 2 middle sides approx 3.7mm, and the 2 end stones approx 2.4mm. I'd guess the carat weights at about 0.40, 0.20, and 0.10 carats respectively.
The center and 2 middle sidestones are more colored than the smallest end stones. I'm guessing the color at about I-J for the center 3, higher for the end stones. But it faces up nice and white, which is good since I am pretty color sensitive.
The shank was represented as 18K in the seller's description, and judging by the color I'd guess that's right. Unfortunately it isn't stamped anywhere as 18K, and the shank looks unworn (not thinned at the bottom or out of round at all), so I'm wondering if the shank hasn't been replaced at some point. I am assuming the baskets are platinum.
The stones are lovely high crowned OMC's with sizeable culets and broad flashes. It's just a cute sparkly little piece, and I hope you enjoy the pictures!
