I can''t find the Balenciaga thread. I''m mostly a lurker around here, but I thought I''d share my first Balenciaga purchase. It''s the Day in Sandstone. I LOVE it!!!

Thanks Widget....since it''s my first one, I wanted to go for a neutral....and this isn''t quite grey or beige, it''s somewhere inbetween....kind of hard to explain

oh i love that color!! what year is sandstone??? i am planning a black city for later this year but i am tempted by the idea of a dark gray as well or instead...hmmm!

Mara - Sandstone is this year....i called balenciaga 1.5 weeks ago, and they called Tuesday that they had 2 of the Day in. It came the next day....

i think mushroom is a good name Widget

The leather on the sandstone is awesome! Probably the best of the spring 07s. Congrats on the new bag!

The leather is UNBELIEVABLE....i cannot stop touching this bag..hehe....that just sounds sick. I''ve carried LV for the past 3 years, so it''s such a difference since LV is so structured.

And the color is perfect. It''s such a nice neutral...it''s a greyish tan, so works well w/ brown or black....did i mention i love it?

I can already see i''m going down a dangerous road

Side note: did anyone see 30 Rock tonight? Tina Fey''s bag looked an awful lot like a B-bag...I''m no expert but after seeing lots of pics here and on TPF it certainly looked like one!

I was wondering if it has touches of grey in it. I am going to BNY tomorrow for the first time (from Chicago). And the only bag I am considering is sandstone.

allison - it does have touches of grey...definitely more tan though, but i would say there are grey undertones...
