I’ve had this little transitional diamond sitting in my jewelry box for years. It’s probably my favorite diamond that I own but it’s small and I never could decide what to do with it. I affectionately call her baby Q because she is .47 ct 5mm and GIA graded Q/R. My husband hasn’t given me a Christmas, or birthday, or anniversary present in 5 years (I’ve kept track lol). My love language is equal parts acts of service and receiving gifts so it always stings a bit. This year he actually asked me what I wanted (10 days before Christmas but I’ll take it!). I told him to grab one of my loose stones from my jewelry box and see if the local jeweler had time to do anything with it. He surprised me with a pendant on Christmas morning and I was over the moon excited!!!!! He purposely chose baby Q because he knows how much I Love it. Im having trouble capturing her stunning checkerboard pattern in photos on this dreary rainy day but I’ll attach some pics! He said that he asked the jeweler to add milgrain and he said he couldn’t do it (could have been a time thing?) Im going to wear her for a bit and see how I feel but I’ll probably end up adding milgrain or even engraving. Im wondering if I could send her down to David Klass for a glow up?
