My new blingy drop earrings

When I opened the box, I was blown away. I was like yeessssss.

They are from Ivy and Rose
Here is the listing:



It’s dark outside. Here are a few different lighting conditions.






They are super sparkly, especially the ones in the middle of the target.

They are beautiful and gorgeous.

It’s so hard to get ear shots and especially ones that capture the sparkle.

Are they a comfortable weight on your ears? They are over 10 grams and that can be heavy for some people's earlobes. Wear them for a few hours and see how comfortable they are. I have sensitive earlobes and most people don't so you will probably be fine but make sure. I have earrings that are too heavy (I did not realize it at the time because for shorter periods of time most everything feels comfy) to wear and would stretch out my earlobes. So it's a shame as they sit unworn and unloved. Beautiful earrings but for the weight. Plus they can and will stretch out your piercings if they are too heavy so something to evaluate.

They look lovely on you and hoping they are as comfy for you as they are lovely.

Use http://lobewonder.com/ and your ears should be fine. This was discussed on the pearl forum as pearl earrings can be pretty heavy.

They are so beautiful! As far as being too heavy, I would try wearing them for a few hours to see how they feel. I don’t think they would stretch your piercings as long as you are only wearing them for special occasions. They will look fantastic with your 3 stone that is in progress!!!

Yes, today I will evaluate them for everything you all mentioned. I’m such a sucker for dangle earrings though— my crack.

I also have a metal allergy, so I will have to evaluate the rose gold.

So I’m going to sit in my pajamas today wearing these lol for 6 hours and see... they are for sure show stoppers and would be amazing at the next Mardi Gras ball. I would be the belle of the ball with them.

I do have those patches, so I will try them also. My other idea might be to change the lever backs to posts, like I did with my antique pair.

I would use the plastic disks on the back of your ear before you put the backs on. They will definitely help with keeping your ear piercing from stretching...by giving it support.

Wow! Their (I&R) pictures dont seem to do them justice...yours in the box show how bright they are. They look great on you and lud knows you

Those are fabulous and way, way more beautiful than in the I&R photos! I can see so much detail and finesse in the shape and design of these in your photos, and they look great on you!

Also they remind me of snowdrops, which are the first flower to bloom after winter has passed, so similarly I hope they represent things getting better.

My dreams are exhausting and intense. Last night, I kept trying to repair a delicate, fragile and broken chain for an ankle bracelet (? Never owned one) and no matter what I did or how hard I tried, I couldn’t fix it.

I also tread water all night in my dream but at least I stayed afloat.

I love the earrings the way they are..so beautiful..but if they are too heavy for you to wear except for a few times a year..you could have a jeweler detach the bottom sapphire diamond halo and make those into another set of drop earrings. You would definitely be able to get more wear out of them that way...I think the diamond flowers would be pretty on their own..just thought..

So what I have decided so far is that, aside from the fact that I LOVE them and they are likely the nicest and most amazing earrings I could ever own, the weight is ok for me so far. The use of bling guards has helped that part a lot.

I’m not sure about the metal allergy issue though. My right lobe seems to be bothered and itchy, and I haven’t been able to wear them more than an hour or so because I’m sleeping so much right now.

So I’m still evaluating them. But they are so gorgeous, what’s a little pain lol.
