My little shopping trip today went slightly astray, and this little guy came home with me. This is from a store in Sydney that designs and makes various pieces, including these rings in silver or white gold with various gemstones.

This ring is more about design than anything else. The blue topaz is 7mm and set in sterling silver. I love modern pieces with sleek shiny metal (I have a few Georg Jensen pieces that I love) so I would put this into the same category. I thought I would share a few photos for those that enjoy something a bit different.

I have nicknamed it my "trumpet ring".

COOL!!!!I dig it! And it so looks like a trumpet!

Thanks Freke :)

I forgot to mention, my shopping trip also took me to Tiffany to check out the legacy with coloured stones. They had the most amazing 2.7-ish carat pink spinel, it was breathtaking, and I couldn''t believe they actually had a spinel. There was also a lovely green tourmaline with a touch a blue, just the way I like it. I was struggling to walk away...

However did you manage to walk away?! I wouldn''t have been able to, that''s for sure!

That is a seriously funky cool ring! Love it!
