Hi Everyone,
I'm so excited to share with you my new 1.46ct cognac pear-shaped diamond! I've wanted one of these forever - and a pear is my all-time favorite shape. Our 10th wedding anniversary is approaching this year and I'm going to have this set into a ring to commemorate the special event! It's a C5-C6, eye-clean SI-2. 8.83 x 5.26 x 4.09. Australian origin. So excited! :appl:

Ooooooooooo! Lovely! :appl: I see it in rose gold... but that's just me! Thinking of a pendant? Ring? My 10th is coming up in a couple years! I am already planning... although we really want a trip... but a trip AND new bling would be awesome!

oops! Sorry! I missed that you had already mentioned a ring! looking forward to seeing it set!

Thank you!

Yes! Rose Gold ring! Still coming up with the designs!

Very nice color. It reminds me of Coca Cola. I also love pears. Such great finger coverage for the size. How are you going to have it set? Halo, solitaire, halo, three stone, halo...

Thats just beautiful! I've always felt like pear shapes were under appreciated.

It will be a stunning combination in rose gold - or in yellow gold for that matter.

OOOOOHHHH I love it! Congrats on your anniversary, and count me in the rose gold fan club!

What a gorgeous color, and cut. Great size too. Happy 10th!!

Beautiful!
I really like that color too.

Thank you! You are all so sweet. My friends/family Do Not Get the whole gems and jewelry "thing" so it's extra nice to have all of my PS friends to share with when I get a new toy!

My current idea is to have it set into a 14kt rose gold ring. I am pear-obsessed so I'm thinking of making it a 3 stone ring with 2 smaller white pear shaped diamonds. A friend of mine is a jeweler/metalsmith and sets all of my stones for me, so I'll talk with her in a few months and see what we can come up with together.

I'm very excited to have a cognac diamond after all of these many years!

It's a beautiful gem and should look stunning set - congratulations!

As an Aussie, I can still remember the huge Champagne and Cognac marketing push by Argyle to make these more desirable to the consumer who only thinks in terms of white diamonds ( I think chocolate came later and possible from the US).

Some of the cognacs are truly stunning as yours seems to be :)) Looking forward to your setting ideas.

I like that dark whisky colour (sounds better than coca cola  ).
